My family and I all enjoyed staying at this property. The cottage is exactly as described in the listing. It was immaculate when we arrived and we were very pleased with how well stocked everything was. The kitchen has lots of pots, pans, dinnerware and utensils. Beds were comfy, and you couldn’t beat the views from all of the windows. Highly recommend to stay here, and we would definitely return.
The property has a wonderful setting. The cabin would have been perfect, but there were a few things that could have been taken care of to make it a 5 star. We were not left an extra propane cylinder for the BBQ, no extra toilet paper &paper towel. The Coffee Maker didn't work, kettle didn't work, sliding doors in kitchen and living room have seals that are broken and when they are closed you cannot see out of them. Also dishes were put in cupboard dirty. We rewashed them. The outdoor table was so covered in tree sap and hadn't been cleaned in a long time. We cleaned it so that we could used it. There were some cosmetic things like bags of mulch that were left lying on the ground half used, the decor around the septic or a post was broken and just a little work could make it a pretty amazing.property. Same with a little inexpensive landscape at the entrance to the cottage. There was a loose step on the way to the dock that could be dangerous. We temporarily fixed it. Side note the tree at the deck could be lopped off and the view would be amazing and one of the canoe paddles needs to be fixed or replaced. We overlooked some of these things as we love being at the cottage. but the value we got for what we paid was not equal. If some of the deficiencies were fixed, we would be back in a heartbeat.
