Gated Community. Lake front log cabin home on private Callender Lake. Cabin has all the conveniences of home plus some. Includes large wood burning fireplace, indoor JenAir grill, covered porch, upstairs loft, balcony and large dock just steps from the porch. The lake is private so no fishing license is required. Catch crappie, catfish and bass right off dock or just relax and enjoy the beauty of this hidden gem.
Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, coffee machine, flat-screenTV with Roku, free WiFi, in-unit laundry machines, parking, and access to a private dock on Lake Callender with 2 kayaks!
The community offers a fishing pier, boat launch, swim area and park, each of which are a short distance away, on private 365 acre lake. Bring your water toys! Great vacation getaway!!

Great location on the lake. Fabulous view that was awesome to look at every day.The beds were great. I like a firm bed and a soft pillow and i felt like I was at home. It is quiet and tranquil. The water pressure is also great.My sister appreciated the downstairs bed and bath.The overall feel is a log cabin on a lake.Sheila did a.great job communicating with us..we would stay here again.We had a great time and would recommend this home.

This is a great home on the lake if you are looking for a spot to relax and enjoy the water in the Athens area. Our host, Shelia, was so welcoming and provided us with an intro to the house and grounds, as well as the best recommendations for local restaurants. We ate at all of them and were impressed! The house is comfortable and the kitchen fully stocked with everything you could need. Unfortunately, we needed Wi-Fi so we could work one of the days we were there and it was spotty. Also, our cell coverage was almost non-existent (Verizon). The rest of our time it didn't matter because we were looking to unplug, but something to be aware of if you do need it. Even with that we had full streaming capabilities on the big flat screen in the living room so we could watch tv shows and movies at night. The outside is truly the highlight with a large lawn, dock, fire pit, hammock and even kayaks to take out on the lake. We brought our dogs and they loved running around the yard which is fully fenced and secure. The community is gated, and there is a pool that you have access to as a guest. Fair warning that some of the neighborhood is not as well cared for as other parts, however the homes on either side of the rental were very nice, the neighborhood felt safe, and it was quiet day and night. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend!

Perfect Getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was such a beautiful and relaxing landing spot from the craziness of First Monday in Canton! Sitting by the lake with a cold drink after a fun and crazy shopping day was perfect! Home was so comfortable and owner was readily available for any questions we may have had. I didn't want to leave!

This is an older lake home that is so relaxing and peaceful. We fell in love from the moment we arrived. The host is wonderful. The view of and from the dock cannot be beat! I would stay forever if I could! The fishing is excellent. Be sure to bring your poles. I didn't get to use the kitchen but I've never come across one so stocked with every piece of cookware you could need. I would love to return for every season and holiday! This wonderful log cabin with private dock feels so cozy and like home that you will fall in love too.
