Everything about our stay was wonderful!! The property is absolutely gorgeous, the room was perfect, and the staff was incredible! The hotel is also right next to a bus stop so you are able to get anywhere you want to go by bus, u-bahn, and s-bahn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We made the right choice for us staying out of the city center and staying here. Was quiet and within a 30 min drive for most of what we were wanting to see. The staff was super helpful during our stay as well.

My wife and I celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary. The staff and patrons staying there were great to talk with. They helped us with finding additional things to go see and do. We would definitely go back and stay again. Food and service was great!

Easy car parking, very clean rooms and comfortable bed. Staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent and the best we have had in all of Germany so far. Easy walk to U bahn and Munich central only 6 stops away. Highly recommend this hotel in Munich especially if you are driving a car.

Three night stay in Munich.

Room is rustic. Bed comfortable. Staffs are very nice and friendly. Breakfast very good. Hotel is quiet and away from the city. Transit is very convenient. Garden around the hotel is very tranquil.

A modern, yet cozy hotel in charming surroundings. We enjoyed being able to walk to the train station and take the S-Bahn to the Marienplatz for a day. Breakfasts each morning were a delectable feast! We had an issue with the plumbing in our bathroom, but the hotel management did their best to fix it and gave us a small credit due to the inconvenience. We would definitely stay again!

Nice hotel on outskirts of Munich. Easy walk to suburban train - S bahn - into city centre. Nice old gasthaus which looks newly refurbished. Huge new and well equipped suite - almost a small apartment. Quite a nice breakfast. Would recommend.

Clean and modern hotel, perhaps the most aesthetic and spacious hotel I’ve stayed in Europe. Highly recommend for those who don’t mind being distanced from the city center and want to enjoy quiet stay. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is amazing, and the food is high quality. Fast internet and smart TV added fun to our restful nights. Beautiful balcony and glass window that gives the most relaxing view of the surrounding nature. I would definitely want to stay here again when I am back in Munich.

We had a great stay at Insel Mühle, we chose to be away from the city centre as it was much more peaceful and yet an easy walk to the S -bahn and buses. The hotel is full of character and yet our bathroom was modern and looked brand new (also the appliances in the kitchen area). Everywhere was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was great with a good range of food. We ate in the restaurant on our first night, the food was lovely and service good, we also found a great Italian restaurant just minutes away called Papa Francos which we enjoyed so much we went twice! We can definitely recommend this hotel for a perfect stay in the Munich area.

What a great find in Munich. We were in Munich for Oktoberfest and all the hotels close to the grounds were either sold out or ridiculously expensive. The Insel Muhle is only 6 stops on the S Bahn to the centre of Munich. It is a beautiful place with very spacious rooms (ours had a patio) and a kitchenette. They also had a very nice restaurant, with free breakfast and an amazing beer garden next to a Brook where you can easily sit for hours with the new friends you'll make. Staff were cheerful and friendly and we're able to answer all our questions. My only complaint would the pillows, I found them to be way too soft and they totally flattened out in no time. This will definitely be where I stay the next time I find myself in Munich

Room exceeded all expectations. Nice patio area for each room on the first floor. Nice living room and kitchenette areas. Free breakfast was very good with hot items such as eggs and sausages/bacon. We were the only vehicle parked in the below ground parking garage. The restaurant did not have menus in English, but the waiter explained the specialties and their expert chef made us one of the best dinners we had during our trip. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. I cannot comment on transportation and walkable as we had a rental card and did not need to make us of public transportation but we did note both bus stops and a commuter train station within easy walking distance.

Exceptional Value, Spacious and Comfortable

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. A mere few minutes drive from the city center, it's a haven of tranquility and comfort. The apartment is incredibly spacious and provides all the amenities one could wish for. The king size bed in the bedroom guarantees a restful night, while the well-appointed bathroom adds to the overall convenience. The living area is wonderfully welcoming, a perfect spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing or work. The addition of the balcony is a delightful bonus, offering a lovely space for relaxation and fresh air. The provided breakfast deserves a special mention. The selection was vast and tasty- a great start to our days! In terms of value for money, this place is unbeatable. My only regret is that our stay wasn't longer. We loved our time here and can't wait to return. Highly recommended for anyone seeking comfort and value in near the heart of the city.

Das Zimmer war super schön eingerichtet, sehr geräumig und sauber! Generell ist das gesamte Hotel sehr liebevoll hergerichtet und vereint Moderne mit bayrischem Charme. Wir waren durchweg begeistert und haben am Hotel nichts zu beanstanden. Das Einzige etwas negative ist, dass das angrenzende Restaurant sehr gut besucht ist und man hier spontan keinen Tisch bekommt. Wir haben dann auch erfahren, dass das Restaurant nicht zum Hotel gehört. Das Ganze war aber nicht weiter schlimm, denn über Wolt & Co. kann auch einfach Essen bestellt werden und das Hotel hat eine kleine Bar mit Selfservice.

Da seit April 2025 der Betreiber des Restaurants gewechselt hat und somit das Hotel „separat“ von der Gastronomie geführt wird hat sich eines merklich verändert und das meiner Meinung nach nicht zum positiven: das Frühstück. Zwar nach wie vor qualitativ völlig okay aber viel weniger als zuvor. Also das hat uns schon etwas enttäuscht! Auch die 10€ für den Parkplatz draußen auf ner Wiese (super Matschig bei Regen!) pro Nacht fand ich etwas drüber. Aber alles in allem eine Unterkunft die durch freundliches Personal hervorsticht und zu empfehlen ist!

Nettes Hotel, sauberes Zimmer, praktische Lage. Hotel und angrenzendes Restaurant werden mittlerweile getrennt voneinander betrieben, was die Gäste deutlich zu spüren bekommen… Reservierungen vom Hotel aus werden nicht vorgenommen, sondern man sollte es doch über die Website machen. Der Service und der Aufbau beim Frühstück ist eine Katastrophe - das Personal ist überfordert und man musste ständig nachfragen, weil kein Kaffee mehr verfügbar war, beim O-Saft kam die Lieferung vom Lieferanten nicht etc. Alle Gäste waren ziemlich enttäuscht, weil es früher wohl wirklich viel besser war
