Beware of Hotels.com cencellation

The Westin Mumbai is a very good hotel with professional staff. I was very impressed with the support given by the Desk Manager Mr Yashvardhan Bhutra. I had mistakenly booked both the Westin Hotel and the Sister Hotel Next doo Lakeside Marriot. If I had booked directly with Marriot group my hotel fees for the Lakeside Marriot would have been refunded in full. This is not the case if you book using Hotels.com. After being challenged and supported by Mr Bhutra I eventually received one of my two nights as a refund but Hotels.com refused to refund my second night. My advice is not to pay through Hotels.com and if possible joint a hotel loyalty program such as Marriot. This allows you credit which can be more generous comp[ared to Hotels.com and will allow full refund for mistakes similar to the double booking I made. My experience following up with Hotels.com was frustrating and they tried to blame everything on the Lakeside Marriot.

Nice property. Good pool. NOX was a great for late night drinks. Everyone was nice. We reserved a lake view room. The room we got was barely a lake view room. They did move us but the room we got was messy in smell due to not having a room purifier.

Breakfast was terrible. Had tried egg bhurji ..it was just too too cold. They do not care for guests . They place brrakfast and donnot bother to even get fresh. Asked for white egg omlette. The same did nod had any salt. Used lake view cafe for dinner ..ordered a second drink which came after 35 40 minutes.. It this acceptable. Room told me a lake view room and they have upgraded me but the room which they gave was not a lake view and the room did not had water. TV was not working. Pathetic.
