Charming home with direct lake access, close to town

"A very nice place . Close to town, quiet and right on Moosehead Lake. Every amenity was there. Kitchen was wonderful , gas grill was perfect, seating outdoors was amazing and the dock was terrific. TV worked fine but didn’t really use it because nature was too awesome. The place was immaculate ."

"Staff at front desk was super nice. She was able to recommend food close by. The restaurant a mile down, Kelly's Landing I believe it was called, was not good. Don't get their lobster roll! My friends food was bad, too. She was also able to tell us where to go look for moose.. and we saw one! She was great. Coffee, drinks, and snacks available at the front office. Downside of our stay, which was by no means bad, was that the office to get coffee doesn't open til about 8am, and checkout was 10am. Later checkout and earlier availability of staff and coffee would have made it a great stay. Our room was clean. Bathroom could've used a little upgrade. Overall it was pleasant there."

"Very peaceful and views were amazing. Perfect escape for my wife’s and my anniversary. Only thing we missed was seeing a bull moose for my wife’s bucket list but the cabin and lake were perfect!"

"When I pulled in the driveway of Sunrise the view was incredible the mountain range in front of you was beautiful. I was immediately met by our host who was high energy happy and incredibly welcoming. We were escorted to our cabin and it was immediately clean and so comfortable our host is very knowledgeable of the local area and seemed incredibly accommodating. Although we had a short stay I would absolutely recommend sunrise you will not be disappointed. Thank you"

"We typically stay in cabins more remote, but we opted for this camp-style duplex which was walking distance to the Greenville shops/dining. The property itself is very spacious, well maintained, and secluded for the location. There’s a nice pebbly boat launch area where we explored, enjoyed coffee & sunrises, swam and kayaked. There’s also a quiet little marina with a few slips. The platform with the grill and fireplace was perfect for sunsets & stargazing. The property is large and nicely lit for nighttime ambiance.The camp has plenty of charm and was perfect for our scenario. The two units are connected by a door on the 3season porch. There’s a solid deck that overlooks the grounds and lake. It was helpful to have the two kitchens, which were well equipped. Wifi and tv were functional. The bedrooms and bathrooms were adequate. While I would recommend upgrading the beds, everything was clean and tidy and we all slept perfectly fine.Our days were spent at Lily Bay State park, hiking Kineo, sightseeing, exploring trails, and shopping/dining in the area. We enjoyed our quiet mornings and evenings at the property. This is an ideal spot for a group or family with teens where the parents stay in one and the kids have the other. A dog would love it here!Finally, the communication with the host was on point. They were very friendly and all of my questions were answered in a timely fashion.Overall, I would give this location an 8.7 and we would certainly stay here again."
