Beautiful cottage with good heating and set up with everything you need for a short or longer stay. Great communication to enter the property. Maybe a look at the pressure in the shower would be helpful but would definitely stay there again.

The property was central to everything and was able to walk to most places. It was spacious which was great. The issues that i would recommend being looked at is the fan in the shower was very dirty and in turn didn't work very well and the oven was also quite dirty so we didn't use it and the microwave was a bit of a concern as well as it didn't turn properly. Other than that a very enjoyable stay.

Quirky, historic guesthouse on a quiet street a few minutes walk to Mt Gambier CBD. Lots of space for two people. Tastefully renovated with a nice outlook and a lovely sunroom across the front of the property. Off-street undercover parking. Great value for money.

Mount Gambier bed and breakfast apartment

Interesting older building, stove didn't work, no windows so very dark, breakfast in "bed &..." was box of Corn Flakes, milk and white bread. Heat pump heaters were great because the rooms were freezing. Load of laundry was left in washer which we had to remove in order to use.

Enjoyable stay in Mount Gambier

We have stayed here before in the Wisteria suite and it has been renovated - new bathroom and kitchen. The only problem we had was the step from the bathroom /back door area into the kitchen. The geometric tile pattern is deceptive and we both nearly had falls. The step needs a bright strip across it so it is visible; it is an accident waiting to happen. Also I think the bathroom would be freezing in the winter; maybe a heater light should be installed. Despite this we will stay here again.

Noise next door

Stayed in the Wisteria Suite last weekend. Check in was great, the apartment is comfortable & great location but the photos aren’t a good indication of the set up. It’s was once a big house that has been divided into separate ‘apartments’. This means that there are thin walls & internal doors between them. Unfortunately we were woken at 6am both mornings by the 2 or 3 guys staying next door. They were talking, making breakfast etc. through the door right behind our bed - see pics - it sounded like they were in our room! This would turn us off returning.

Very spacious, multiple rooms and enough beds for 5 (altough it wa just the two of us). Fully equipped kitchen. Bed very comfortable. Hosts turned on the heating so it was lovely and cosy when we arrived on a cold day. Location is on a very quiet side street with onsite parking. Only suggestion is that since there is only one bathroom, that the other toilet / basin should have a mirror and towel rail added so basic ablutions can be performed by someone else.

Staff was prompt and helpful. A lovely space to stretch out and provide your own meals. The cleanliness was not acceptable. It was fine until we noticed thick dirt on shelving and between the stove and kitchen bench. The rangehood did not work. We needed to clean the cutlery drawer due to dirt. The microwave tripped the safety switch, leaving us to find the external fuse box. The sofa had not been cleaned, obvious by the popcorn under the cushions. Towel rails and toilet paper holder was broken, some cupboard handles missing. Under furniture and hand basin in the bathroom was thick dirt and dirty tissues. Also the plug was missing in the bathroom. In the main bedroom: the bedside lamps were not able to be used, one missing a globe, the power board was jammed between the bed and wall therefore not accessible. Some curtains were coming off the rail. The occasional tables needed repairs - loose legs. The previous guest had left used soap resting on the shower head arm. The communal laundry was filthy and we would not use it. A dustpan and broom would have been a helpful addition for client use. There was an empty dish detergent bottle. Extra bin liners, kitchen scourer were absent. We were there for 10 days and had to request fresh towels. Both inside and outside had multiple old and dusty spider webs. The driveway was broken and unsafe. There was no information regarding operation of the electrical appliances or local contacts eg the Manager or local eateries etc.

Quiet street but right in the city centre - a five minute walk. Nice old house but decor a bit old and tired and some basic items missing in kitchen eg bottle opener/can opener. Some milk in the fridge to make a cup of tea after a long drive would be nice too

Wyatt Guest House in Mt Gambier

I stayed in the property for one night and really enjoyed it. Cleanliness, comfort and quiet location off the main streets are one of the most appealing factors for me. Families might like as well the number of beds.
