This home sits on over an acre with plenty of outdoor seating, firepit, deck off the master and a large observation deck perfect for viewing the local wildlife. At the end of the street there is a city park with a mountain bike trail, dog park, racquet ball courts and a frisbee course. Luxury King bed and WiFi. We really enjoyed spending the weekend here for a wedding in town. We managed to catch the Christmas parade in downtown Mt.Dora, which was a lovely town.The place was easy to find and the price was reasonable. My only note, I wished the floors were cleaner, lots of dirt left behind which really made my partner uncomfortable. The shower was very nice and the bed was comfortable. AC worked very well and generally the place had a LOT of charm.

The Tiki Hut at Mt. Dora is the most lovely hidden gem! Cozy, clean, and with a calming atmosphere inside and out, we had no problems relaxing before the Mt. Dora Half-Marathon. There were plenty of amenities and supplies of every kind, and beautiful tiki-hut themed decor everywhere you look. The backyard was phenomenally spacious as well, with incredible opportunities for beautiful photos or moments with wonderful company. A key point too is that it's within walking distance of downtown, which is SUCH a life-saver in a small-town with limited parking on a crowded holiday weekend night!

Loved this property! Super close to downtown Mt. Dora. Secluded, tucked away, well maintained. The host, Steve, was super responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend a stay at the Tiki Hut!

We had an excellent stay at this cottage and would absolutely come back. The location is perfect—close to great restaurants and plenty to do, yet still peaceful and relaxing. The property itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable getaway.One of the highlights for us was the large yard, which was perfect for our dogs to run and play safely. It made traveling with pets so much easier and more enjoyable.The owner was fantastic—communication was clear, prompt, and helpful from start to finish, which made the whole experience seamless.If you’re looking for a relaxing place with convenient access to activities, great dining nearby, and a welcoming atmosphere, this cottage is a great choice. Highly recommend!

Fantastic place! My brother and his wife went in our place since we had another commitment and he reported that the tiki hut was awesome and everything that he had expected. It was his birthday weekend so I was thrilled that they enjoyed the stay so much.

Property was not safe. The deck was not safe, a lot of the boards were rotted and my foot went through. The shower was not safe due to the unlevel floors, making it slippery. All inside the place the floors were not even, waving up and down. Definite foundation work is needed. The building is not up to code. Ceilings are not high enough. Electrical is not up to current code. Hard to imagine the place has a certificate of habitation. This feels like a large shed, transformed into a place to stay at without permitting.

Unique property with very large outdoor area. Pups could run and play with no rear neighbors. Nice fire pit for cool night fires. "Tiki" was exactly as advertised with everything you need for a week's stay. Location was perfect as it is only a 5 minute drive / Uber from downtown.

Fun and Happy Place

If you are looking for a fun place with a relaxed atmosphere and and "cool" factor that makes exploring Mount Dora easy, this is it. We had very responsive communication with Steve and really enjoyed our stay!

Quaint and private

Pleased with the privacy it offered. Lots of space for our dog. Small kitchen area. It had a very comfortable bed and it was nicely decorated and quaint. The decks it offered and chairs were great and watching the sunrise and sunset from the back deck was very enjoyable. We hope to come again.

Picture Perfect

The photos on the website do not capture the beauty of the setting nor the uniqueness of the Tiki Hut. We sat out every morning and enjoyed the serenity and picturesque view from the back deck. The location is 5 minutes from downtown, where we had no trouble parking. We will be returning!
