My adult son and I were in the area for the NASCAR race at North Wilkesboro Speedway, about 30 miles away from the Surry Inn. The hotel was very accommodating to our late-night arrival. Our room was clean, quiet and perfect for our weekend stay. This is the 2nd year we have stayed at the Surry Inn and will definitely stay there again when we are in the area.

The Surry in is a nice place to stay overnight on our trips from PA to Florida. Everything is older but clean and everything worked.

Surry Inn is a basic motel. Upon arrival we checked in via a small walk up window. There is no lobby. The room was in fairly good condition. However, the plug to the a/c wall/floor unit kept coming out of the the electric outlet when were trying to start the air conditioning unit. My husband was able to finally get the cord to stay in the outlet. The furniture, bed and floor and curtains were in good condition. The walls in the bathroom appeared "beat up" from years of stays at Surry Inn. The employee at the checkin/checkout window was notified that the shower curtain clearly had mildew on it. There is no breakfast, so be prepared to bring your own or go elsewhere to eat. Would I stay here again? If there was another option, we would check it out; otherwise we would stay at Surry Inn again IF the shower curtains were not spotted with mildew and we knew the a/c heat worked wit question.

I was a bit concerned since the Surry Inn was not a "chain". I was looking for a clean, safe place to get a good night's sleep before I continued on my travels. Surry Inn was great and I will be staying there in the future.

This hotel was terrible, dirty and rooms were in very poor condition. Bathroom tub was so 'stained', faucet hanging off in tub, water pressure non existent. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. No rooms were available in this area, so we had to stay. Never again.

I have no complaints about this property. We needed a bed and a shower near the interstate during a road trip, and this was one of the most affordable places in the Elkin area. Friendly staff, clean room, a comfortable bed, and good water pressure in the shower. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done.

This property looked nice for its age and the parking lot and grounds were clean . Our room was clean as well, just a few cosmetic issues with the baseboard and tube area but nothing that really mattered. We would stay there again.for the price compared to the Hampton Inn across the street.
