Our stay was perfect. Our Grandson got married and we were able to host the rehearsal supper at our facility. The manager was most helpful with everything we needed to make the evening perfect. This is a great place for large group. Everyone had plenty of room to stay.

Family Reunion 2025

Family reunion location for ages 10-97 - yes great grandmother was there!! The house was great! Large rooms, decorated nicely and well stocked! The guest house was just adorable! The challenge we had was who was going to get what room - everybody wanted them! :) The location was perfect for the main event at the Petit Jean State Park! The property offered the most beautiful views! We used the pool daily, the fire pit nightly & BBQ for evening meals! The game room with pool table and large oversized furniture were a huge hit with all!! Ms. Gwen was wonderful, welcoming & helpful! Thanks Ms. Gwen for everything - our stay was wonderful & full of fun for everyone! I highly recommend this property for weddings, events & family stays!!

Small wedding

What a dream it was to stay here! Absolutely beautiful! Gwen has provided everything you need for not only a stay with a large group (we had 19) but to have a beautiful intimate wedding! The homes are much bigger and more beautiful than the pictures capture! The property is located in not only a beautiful spot but a very easy drive to town or the Casey’s and dollar general right up the road. Everything was fantastic! Gwen was quick to respond and answer any all questions we had! I would recommend staying here until I’m blue in the face, it was just perfect!

The perfect home for us!

We have a 4 family group of closeknit neighbor/friends.8 adults & 9 kids ranging from age 2-13. This house was PERFECT! We rented both the main & guest houses so everyone had both the privacy they needed, plus the option for all the kids to do things sleepover style! The grounds were absolutely AMAZING, perfect for kids to run and climb around, they performed a talentshow on the “stage”. (we weren’t there the time of year to utilize the pool.) within a few minute drive we could all be at the Petit Jean State Park. So many amazing and beautiful hikes & nature to see. Then within minutes, we could be back home where the kids loved playing pool, or ping pong and the adults could cook together while enjoying a little happy hour on the best front porch EVER! You haven’t lived till you watch a sunrise or just the river with a cup of coffee/cocktail in hand on that front porch! I only wish it could’ve been a touch later in the year so we could’ve seen the beautiful gardens/plants/trees that surrounded us in full bloom. And while the house provided so much that we never had reason to reach out to them, the owners were clearly ready and willing to help us with anything we may have needed. Check in/checkout out was a breeze. (Always appreciate the 11 o’clock check out over the 10 AM). Would definitely recommend!!

Perfect Christmas!

In order to get my family together, we rented this beautiful and cozy VRBO at the base of Petit Jean Mountain. It was perfect for our large family, complete with fire place and Christmas decorations. It was the best stocked kitchen of any VRBO at which we’ve stayed. The beds were comfortable and the accommodations were beyond our expectations. We met the owner as we were coming in and had a wonderful chat with her. My family is already requesting that we do the same for next year.

Perfect for a family gathering!

We enjoyed both homes for a family gathering celebrating my in-laws 50th wedding anniversary. We also spent some time on Petit Jean including a trip to the farmers market. The house was perfect for our gathering and the property is gorgeous!

Riverview Stay

Property was chatming and had so many interesting features that made our council's retreat a great experience. Had plenty of room for us inside and outside. Needs a new kitchen trash can, but other than that we truly enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful Christmas Stay

Perfect place for four families to stay with plenty of room in both houses. Wonderful communication with host. Cute and cozy with a gas fireplace and Christmas decorations. Will definitely stay again!

Great for a large group

Really enjoyed the property. Had plenty of space, and bathrooms, for our group. Owners were accommodating. Front porch is really nice for relaxing with a beautiful view. Wouldn’t hesitate to book it again.

Beautiful and spacious place!

I rented this house to accommodate some of mine and my now husband’s family for our “destination” wedding at Petit Jean State park, and I am so happy I did! Gwen was an amazing host and readily available! This is a spacious property with so much room for entertaining and just gathering for family time! We utilized both the main house and guest house and our family was very impressed with the property! We also had our reception out back behind the guest house and it was beautiful! Gwen has tables, chairs, table cloths, etc available at the property to rent for any special occasion! If we ever go back to Petit Jean for a family trip, I will definitely be renting this property again if available!

Little slice of heaven

This was a wonderful destination. Our family consisted of eighty years old ,to 16 years old. The only thing inconsistent with description was the waterfall not working currently, but had no bearing on the great time we had. Gwen is everything a host can be during our stay. Lots of space to move and mingle. It could be challenging for someone with mobility issues due to the terrain, being built on side of hill.

Great Experience Wonderful Property

We had a total of 9 Family members, me, my spouse, my daughter and her husband + 2 kids, Bonus son + wife and 2 kids, Bonus Daughter. We all had a great time and nobody had any complaints. Loved the closeness to the Arkansas River and were able to see at least one riverboat on the river. Very quiet property, well maintained. Would highly recommend to any with a large group, we easily could have handled another 5 or 6 folks with us.

It was a fantastic stay!

We were so happy until, on Saturday, a storm knocked out the power. We could not get in touch with the owner or the housekeeper to ask further instructions for check out. Everything else was wonderful!!!

Perfect for our Family

We have deep Arkansas ties and came from Texas, Georgia and Kentucky to celebrate the holidays. Finding a place with enough rooms and beds is not easy. (Unlike when I was growing up, my children and grandkids don’t seem to be able to sleep just anywhere 😬). Your house was perfect for us…very well equipped, comfortable and homey. Even decorated! We all loved it. It was fun exploring Petit Jean again and reliving good times. The pool table was a big hit with the teens, but I don’t think we turned on the TV at all. Yay! The hosts could not have been more welcoming, accommodating and helpful. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home. We will be back.

Best Christmas ever

We had 14 guests ranging from 4 months to over 65. The accommodations were great for everyone. I have used many vacation homes in the past and this was one of the best. The host decorated the house for Christmas and the little ones were very happy Santa could find us there. We made great memories. Thank you.

Best Host Ever !!

The house and the grounds were amazing but what set this trip apart was Gwen the host. We held our daughters wedding reception at the house which was absolutely perfect. Knowing how stressful something like this can be Gwen was there to help with anything we needed. This is a great venue for any kind of event or just for a relaxing getaway. We will definitely be back !!

Perfect for our Family

The house and guest house were perfect for our family, 6 adults and 7 children. The older kids LOVED the pool table! And, they all loved the pool which felt like we were in a magical kingdom. In addition, the house is perfectly located to petit jean. We hiked in the mornings, came back to the house and many times went back to the park. But, my favorite part was meeting Gwen!
