Children’s play area (shared with other properties on-site). Hot tub for 4 (private). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: 4 steps in grounds.. With a wonderful hot tub set to the rear of the lodge offering some privacy and embracing nature you can try and spot squirrels in the trees and wildlife, whilst relaxing on your much deserved short break or annual holiday. Aptly named Moonlight Lodge the side decking is a lovely place to sit and catch the moonlight and gaze at the dark skies amongst this tranquil area of this pretty country lodge park. There are woodland walks straight from your door this lodge is perfectly located to enjoy your chill out break. With large reclining corner sofas and an optimist fire, the living area is a cosy place to sit and watch a film on the TV on an evening. On site there is a small bar area at the end of the park near the golf course (golf is free for visitors). Located only a mile from the A1 the location is ideal for travelling around this super friendly county where you are guaranteed of a real warm Geordie welcome. Head north only a few minutes to Alnwick where the majestic castle featured in Harry Potter lies, here you can discover the history of Alnwick then browse the shops and cafes. Only a few miles from Morpeth, a historic town with riverside walks and rowing boats, a lovely Edwardian Shopping Arcade and a great choice of bars and restaurants. Discover the miles and miles of golden sandy beaches set along the heritage coast visit Craster famous for its kippers, or Seahouses with a real seaside holiday feel. Nearby Amble has a popular Sunday morning market, cute shopping pods and a working harbour with plenty of places to have a lovely Sunday Lunch. Travelling all over the county from here is super easy with access in all directions, then come back and relax and unwind in the hot tub bubbles planning your next day’s adventures.

Negative, very springy (dangerous) decking into caravan, only 2 lightbulbs in fitting one of the 5 had no shade, the same in the kitchen area. The toilet seat in the main bathroom very unsafe, rusty radiator in the on suite, info guides for what do were out of date, no hot tub instructions. No general amenities, no salt or pepper, plastic “glassware”. We left two actual glasses. No on site pub/club/retaurent.Positive s, the country side is breathtaking and the locals are very friendly

A honest review of the property is as stated in other reviews there is a lot of repairs and extras needed to make us want to book again. On entering the property we noticed the panel to the left side of door is damaged, the decking at the front door is also damaged and sinks when you stand on it. The inside of the property was nicely decorated and well furnished.The cooker/ grill was faulty after it was lit it kept going off for no reason, it couldn’t be the gas as hob and heating worked, the inside of cooker/ grill also needed cleaning.As a result we had to bin our food as wasn’t cooked which we weren’t very pleased about.We also noticed the fridge door shelf had snapped off so couldn’t stand any bottles up.The shower thermostat in the main bathroom would not adjust therefore to hot and couldn’t use. The wc in the en-suite was leaking so couldn’t use as floor was getting wet.The lack of knives and forks needs addressing we only had 2 forks of which one was bent. Couldn’t get the electric fire to work, also couldn’t connect to the Wi-Fi. The hot tub was fine but could do with some lighting. We would not book this lodge again due to the many defects which is a pity as it could be very good if the work mentioned was carried out.
