"The location of this hotel is BEAUTIFUL, the views of the lake are stunning. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself can definitely use a few upgrades For 1 the Air conditioner is pretty terrible. It’s pretty much a fan, the room gets pretty warm during the day. At night it’s not terrible but the AC can use an upgrade for sure. Also the furniture and carpets/rugs need to be changed or cleaned thoroughly. Plenty of stains on the carpet and couches. "Really good location as it’s a 5 min walk from the train station also very close to the ferry. The room is on the smaller side but that’s expected in Varenna. The gentlemen at the reception was very helpful and they were able to accommodate for late check-in. I would recommend this spot and for the location and the value."

Best place to be!

"It was a beautiful surprise, the hotel is very quiet, modern, well designed, everything is well think for having the best experience. After 2 weeks in Switzerland, everyday in restaurants, our best food experience was at the restaurant in the hotel. I just mentioned directly to the chef, a very nice person doing food with passion and love, you will taste it! I highly recommend this hotel and restaurant. I am from Canada, Quebec and I will definitely return to this place."

"I never write reviews but the staff was so amazing and helpful from the moment we walked in to our check out that I just had to write this review. I got my check out time confused and they were so nice about it, didn’t give me a hard time. They were even worry about us having breakfast or eating something before check out, the place is very clean and nice I would definitely return here if I come back to Italy. 10/10"

"We loved our stay at the Hotel Spendide Royal! It’s absolutely gorgeous hotel and the feeling of being there is very special. The staff were all top notch and showed care and a commitment to making you feel comfortable and happy. The breakfast buffet was delicious with lots of variety and options. We will definitely come back and can’t recommend it enough."
