"I enjoyed my overall stay at The Tides Inn, but I wanted to share a few thoughts about the dining experience. Staying several nights made the limited dinner menu and lack of daily specials more noticeable. The dishes felt overly elaborate, and the prices seemed high for the experience. A more traditional and varied menu could better meet guests’ expectations and make the premium pricing feel more worthwhile. That said, don’t miss the hidden gem, the Fish Hawk Bar/Grill and be sure to ask for Joey. It’s a shame it closes so early, as it would be the perfect spot to enjoy an evening cocktail or two."

"Quite possibly the best impromptu stop my husband and I have ever made! Everything was incredibly clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. Breakfast was even more enjoyable with the beautiful view.We loved taking in the beautifully decorated rooms and especially enjoyed cozying up by all the fireplaces. The entire stay was so peaceful and relaxing—it was the perfect place to get away and unwind. We’re already planning our return!"

"Overall this was a great choice. I was visiting family nearby and didn't spend a lot of time in the hotel, so I gave a good rating for some of the categories as I didn't get to try them. The hotel was easy to find and located very near an outdoor shopping mall with good chain restaurant choices, a Walmart, TJ Maxx and other stores. Within walking distance of the hotel are a Wendy's and Chipotle. The area felt very safe. Check-in was great, the lobby is very clean. The hotel staff were friendly. When we got to our room, there was a slight bleach smell and I would rather that than a moldy smell. The bathroom and room were clean and lots of towels. Beds were very comfortable. I didn't eat the breakfast, my son did and said it was great. I would definitely stay here again."

"Unfortunately our visit was dealt a blow from Mother Nature. However, we did not let that ruin our time. A few road trips, dining out and in town shopping made up for no beach time. The Crows Nest has a fabulous view of the marina and we did get one glimpse of the sun as it set. Normal weather conditions, I'm sure it is fabulous. The Coast Guard has a few boats there and it is fascinating to hear their morning check. Saw the Pilot boat go out several times and a few fishing boats come in. Seagulls, pelicans and other birds in abundance. When booking the Crows Nest, keep in mind it is above a restaurant so there is some residual noise. Nothing unbearable unless you are a light sleeper. No TV in the living area which we thoroughly enjoyed as we chatted and laughed the nights away. There is one in the main floor bedroom, should you need. Definitely fit the bill for a much needed recharge, for besties that live 1300mi apart."

"My wife and I stayed here for one night. The apartment was clean and had everything that we needed. I owner was quick with a response with a question I had. It was in the perfect location. Downtown Cape Charles is within walking distance and everything else is pretty close by. There is a restaurant right nextdoor and plenty of other dining options on main street. Next time we do a weekend getaway to Cape Charles, I would stay here again."

"Here’s a warm, natural version:We had such a wonderful stay at Kim’s VRBO! The place was absolutely adorable, extremely clean, and even nicer than we expected. Everything felt well cared for, comfortable, and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend Kim’s place to anyone looking for a clean, cozy, and beautiful place to stay. We would definitely stay again!"
