"The staff was amazing. Location couldn't have been any better! Of course there were a few little things that weren't "excellent" around the property but didn't bother us at all and didn't affect our stay. Can't wait until the next time we come to Colonial Beach. We will definitely stay here again. The staff made our stay a 10/10."

"We absolutely loved our stay! The home was incredibly clean, cozy, and comfortable—it truly felt like a little home away from home. And the view… absolutely amazing! It was the kind of place where you just want to sit back, relax, and take it all in. Everything was exactly what we needed for a peaceful getaway. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing place to stay!"

"The stay was relaxing, comfortable, homely in the best way..we loved the heated pool & games offered & the arcade took me back..ha ha we played super marios bros original first game & loved it.. the first night we went out swimming & Missunn came out to introduce herself calling me by name (Mlelissa) & remembered our talked prior to me coming. via personal texts🙂 & to top it off we came in from swimming & was welcomed by the smell of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies hot out the oven from Missunn. David was our greater& host he gave us a run down &some neat history & it just felt like u knew him already.. just a great couple & the fellow guests were all so friendly inviting & just chill like we were planning on doing. Thank you both again it was the best experience & our first time staying in a b& b.. you guys rock we will.come again sometime & will recommend you guys"

"This is the perfect spot to simply sit back and relax. The pier and view of the water are wonderful. Island life is quiet and unrushed. We spent 3 days doing very little, and it was just what we needed. The local grocery store has a decent selection and there are a few restaurants, if you don’t want to cook. The hosts were beyond helpful and answered our questions incredibly quickly. Pack a book, some sunscreen and just be!"

"Communication was top notch! It’s a great house. Location is very remote so if you have teens they will probably be bored (mine were). We did have some issues with previous renters leaving things poorly - kayaks right side up (filled with water), storage areas unlocked… Pool alarms didn’t work as advertised (didn’t bother us with older kids). Bedrooms in the cottage are teeny tiny - no adult would sleep there and the couches were missing additional parts to turn them into beds. We had 12 total people - two couples and 8 total kids and had just enough room - could have added 2 more. Definitely check the setup before bringing 21 people! We enjoyed our stay and overall it was a great place to all be together. But it’s not for everyone. Unfortunately the “beach” is very small, rocky, and angled, no one laid out for a tan. We had a lot of fun crabbing (and eating crab - yum!) Sadly we had a LOT of jelly fish so spent very little time in the water although my kids were much braver than I was and kayaking / stand up paddle boarding was fun. We did change the number of people in our reservation two weeks prior and had a horrible time with this vacation rental platform despite calls and texts (they never got it right) but the homeowner was very accommodating and made sure we had enough sheets and towels for everyone so that was very appreciated!"

"Beautiful house in a beautiful beach location. The house has a private beach and dock on the Potomac. The views are incredible. There is plenty of space inside the house for family activities, as well as an open-air deck and a screened-in outdoor dining area — which is where we had a family dinner each evening. Communication with the host was quick, easy and responsive."

"We Enjoyed all the amenities and how the house was stocked with dishwasher pods and laundry pods on site. We want to come back but may need a ramp for better entry for my husband. The location and water view is excellent. Really enjoyed screened porch. A great experience!! Would do it again!"
