"RUN as fast as you can. Booked this place and left hours after. Here is why:1. It is actually part of a commune. Numerous other building that don't appear in pictures or description on VRBO2. There are 2 separate units. One up, One down. Require separate entrance3. Downstairs bathroom flooded. Owner admits to a broken pipe in the wall, so says use the other 2 upstairs. So, go outside, upstairs, unlock the door to use the bathroom in the middle of the night? We decide to sleep upstairs with the...

Top Monti di Sotto Hotel Reviews

Fattoria di Vegi

10/10 Excellent

"We loved our stay,"

Villa Ermellina Siena, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Charming, beautifully decorated, and pet-friendly hotel We enjoyed our stay at this charming hotel. It is very cutely decorated and has lots of character. The location is great if you prefer staying outside the busy city center while still having convenient access to everything. The room was a good size—not too big or too small—with a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. Breakfast was also very good, offering everything you need to start the day. Another big plus is that the hotel is pet-friendly! If I had to mention anything, it would be a few minor finishing details, such as the AC vents, that seemed a little unfinished. Nothing major, just small touches that could make the overall experience even better. Overall, a lovely hotel with charm, comfortable rooms, and a welcoming atmosphere. We would happily stay again!"

Il Chiostro del Carmine

8/10 Good

"The location was excellent, within walking distance to all the sights but far enough that it was quiet. Breakfast was excellent and if you can get window seating, it will make a perfect start of the day. The staff was helpful but remains in the background unless you need something. The room was clean, only caveat is the shower is rather small for such a big bathroom. We will stay here again."

Borgo Vescine

10/10 Excellent

"There are no words to describe our experience at this incredibly beautiful and wonderful charming several century old village resort in Chianti. It was everything you imagined Italy to be in wine country. Probably one of my favorite places I have ever stayed at, and I’ve stayed at hundreds of of places around the world. The staff was wonderful, the accommodations were just super cool. It was once a village dating back over 100+ years. It was truly remarkable that the owner discovered it and restored it, creating a truly wonderful experience and beautiful Tuscany. We definitely will stay here every time we go to Tuscany in the future. This is a must-stay place!"

Hotel Borgo San Luigi

10/10 Excellent

"Borgo San Luis is a luxury destination! The four of us were treated as honored guests of great renown. The grounds were wide, varied, and immaculate. The breakfasts were special events for us foodies, and the swimming pool was refreshing even in October!. Parking was free, secure, and accessible. We easily saw why the Borgo was a destination for the weddings, feasts, and meetings that were taking place at the time of our visit -- but they were never intrusive. The staff were multi-lingual and honestly could not do enough for us. Should you ever desire a dream from which that you did not want to awaken, visit Borgo San Luis."

Hotel Italia

10/10 Excellent

"We stayed at this basic but nice 3-star hotel just one night while visiting Siena. We had a room for 3 for my wife and I and our adult daughter. The hotel was easy walking distance from the train/bus station. It's kind of weird because you enter an indoor shopping area across the street from the station and then go up about 6 banks of escalators to get up the hillside. Then the hotel is just a block away. One of the AC units didn't work but friendly staff helped start the other one. All staff were very friendly and spoke English. Easy walk a few blocks into the old city. Wonderful breakfast!!! We were able to leave our bags for most of the day while we explored the city prior to leaving on the bus again. I would definitely stay again."
