We love to stay at Poco a Poco. We really appreciate the hot tub and the pool. The breakfast is fantastic and has great viewing for a variety of birds that seem to frequent the area. Its a good location for us as well with close access to the park and grocery store.

We loved this hotel. The location was brilliant the pool area was lovely - the online photos don’t do it justice. Breakfast was the best we had in Costa Rica and it was just a really great hotel with such a chilled vibe. It has its own short trail which we saw a decent amount of wildlife on. So many beautiful birds in this area.

We stayed here for 4 nights in April 2026. This hotel was everything we could have asked for. It is located in close proximity to several adventure parks, El Tigre waterfall, Ficus La Raiz, a shopping center, and numerous restaurants (although, to be honest, the hotel's room service was MUCH more delicious and satisfying than the restaurants we visited.) Overall the staff was very attentive but the housekeeping service deserves a special shoutout. They kept our room tidy and smelling great, something we really appreciated after zip-lining and hiking for hours over suspension bridges and other trails. However, what we loved the most was the wildlife we were able to see so easily. On our first day we were greeted by a wild Agouti seemingly posing next to colorful flowers. Every morning during breakfast we were able to see a variety of beautiful birds both big and small. It was quite relaxing to take in the sun, enjoy the sights and sounds of local fauna, all the while sipping on a cup of strong Costa Rican coffee. Suffice to say this was an incredible experience that we will never forget.

Clean, comfortable accommodation with helpful staff. Delicious, healthy, freshly prepared breakfast with friendly attendants. Well kept grounds boasting a stunning terraced culinary herb garden, including the most aromatic shrubs in a small space. A little bit of paradise nestled in the cool hills of Monteverde. I would definitely recommend the Poco a Poco Hotel and Spa, and I absolutely plan to go back.

The room was spacious and clean , excellent breakfast with hot food options, beautiful view from the patio. One can actually spot colorful birds and a couple of agoutis on the ground. We loved swimming pool and hot pool area. The bath robes were provided. They also offered free mini bar for the first day, it was really useful. The only problem we experienced was the slow shower drain and banging noise during nights when the wind was strong. We think it was the tree branch hitting the roof of our room, we were on the 4th floor. It didn’t prevent us from sleeping as we were tired after our activities, but it was pretty loud and unexpected.

Trabalhadores da manutenção me acordaram assustada às 5:30 da manhã, batendo portas, pisando e falando alto bem ao lado do nosso quarto. Passaram o dia inteiro circulando entre os hóspedes fazendo pequenos serviços que não tinham urgência, utilizando equipamentos barulhentos e encaravam os hóspedes como se estivéssemos os atrapalhando, mexiam nos equipamentos da jacuzzi enquanto havia hóspedes dentro, e ainda compartilhavam do café da manhã junto aos hóspedes, com suas roupas sujas de serviço, o que achei bem inadequado. A administração do lugar não teve qualquer bom senso em dar andamento a uma reforma com os hóspedes dentro e ainda ignoraram nossa primeira reclamação. Chegamos no domingo e parecia um sonho; quadro aconchegante com cama, banho, iluminação, móveis, toalhas revestimentos…tudo perfeito, apenas achei meio esquisita a varanda com vista para o telhado. Entretanto, o sonho virou um pesadelo; fiquei extremamente irritada com o ruído, até que resolveram nos agradar com um (ótimo) jantar e nos acomodar em uma silenciosa suíte “superior” onde o colchão era mole (detesto), não tinha box no banheiro, que molhava inteiro e cheirava a mofo devido a falta de janelas. Rapaz do omelete muito gentil, mas absurdamente lento e confuso. Hotel com muito potencial e extremamente mal gerenciado.

Bien ubicado en el centro de Monteverde al lado del centro comercial. La habitacion normal los jardines de alrededor preciosos. Tambien tiene piscinas con zona de bar.Tiene un restaurante pero muy caro recomiendo ir al centro comercial a comer. Tranquilo y silencioso. We stayed in a family room by the pool. It was awesome. Great property. Lovely staff. Comfy beds. Delicious breakfast. Pool was warm. Hot tub could be hotter. Wish there was a microwave in the room. Pool was very nice, and while the resort does overall seems family friendly, the pool is overall somewhat small and includes a swim up bar...so kids jumping, thrashing, splashing around isn't necessarily compatible. I did feel like I had to police my kids quite a bit to prevent them splashing people sitting at the bar/the bar itself just due to the size of the pool.
