Emanuel was such an amazing host, constantly checking in to make sure everything was okay, easiest check-in and check-out process, clean place, amazing views from garden, peaceful. Highly recommend !

Hosts were super welcoming and stayed in touch to answer any questions about tours etc. Apartment was super-clean. Kitchen well-stocked with everything you might need for doing food prep. Beds comfortable. [If it was my place I would soften the lighting and install a couple of outlet-size nightlights for finding the bathroom at night.] And in a quiet area with great views, a nice plus.

This was a very peaceful getaway. The owners were very nice and helpful. The property was fun to explore. My children loved the cows, swings, and garden area. No TV and everything very basic. Living area was clean and maintained. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable and the curtains were very thin, letting in the bright sunlight before 6am. The shower ran very hot or very cold. The sinks only had cold water. No A/c and no fans. The temperature was fair while we were there, but fans still would have been nice. 1 towel per person for a 5 day stay.

Very Enjoyable Stay

The location is beautiful and close to the town of Santa Elena. Emanuel responded promptly to my many questions and he set us up with an awesome guide for Monteverde tours.

Peaceful stay

Fantastic!! A 10!

This place was fantastic. Clean, comfortable, close to town but felt so far away. Beautiful view. Absolutely incredible host who answered ever question I had and offered great tips as well. Wonderful communication. Sweetest host who welcomed us with her kindness and a sweet treat. Can’t say enough good things about camp Azul. Stay here!!!

Campo Azul was incredibly beautiful. The views across rolling hills to the ocean are amazing. You are surrounded by lush gardens. We saw various birds, squirel, aguti, white faced capuchin monkeys eating in the garden. The monkeys break off sugar cane from the garden and take it into the trees. Santa Elena Town is a very short drive away. Be aware there are many unpaved roads in Costa Rica and we were glad to have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. However, we saw many sedans navigate the roads just fine. Xinia is very welcoming, friendly, and helpful and Emanuel was very helpful with recommendations. We would definitely stay here again!

Winter getaway

The place has stunning view of the lake in the distance and surrounding green hills. It is centrally located. We saw many wildlife on the property. The place is very clean. The host is very friendly.

Amazing !

The property is on top of a hill overseeing the ocean with a beautiful garden full of pretty birds and some of the most amazing sunsets! The owners are awesome people, super friendly and helpful, we loved our stay.

Beautiful location

The accommodations were clean and very well kept. we had great views of the hillside. The photos on the VRBO website were very accurate. The owners.Xinia and Gilberth were there to meet us when we checked in. Seamless process. The road to get to the house is dirt and has some potholes, so would recommend a vehicle with a little bit of clearance. we coordinated our tours through them and were extremely satisfied with both of them. Our guide Juan Ramon was probably the best guide I have had in all my 40+ years of travel. He’s passionate and exceptionally knowledgeable about his work. He loves what he does so much that on his days off he hikes and looks for more animals so he could share those locations with his clients. I highly recommend both the location and Juan Ramon as a guide while you’re in Monte Verde.

Truly a magical place

We loved staying here! Such a beautiful, peaceful home and landscape. Our kids loved the swings, hammocks, and other fun things under the tree. We felt very welcomed and the house had everything we needed. A great place for families.

Great communication before we arrived. Xinia, the host, provided a warm welcome, fresh bananas from her garden, and great recommendations (we saw Quetzals at the Santa Elena Reserve). The property is beautiful and such a serene setting. Emmanuel helped with local tour reservations and didn’t disappoint! Highly recommend the night walk tour! We loved it here.

Magical place to unwind

The cool breezes, mountain-top views, sweet hosts and hammocks in the fruit trees were such a gift for our family of 5. Our kids loved it here, playing soccer while the sun set over the view of the ocean. This place is immaculate, well-maintained and Xenia was the most warm and welcoming host. So grateful to have been able to spend some time here, we will never forget it! Emanuel booked our tours for us which worked out great too! Highly recommend!

Wonderful time. Met On arrival by our host. She was generous, giving us bananas. Lots of information about the house in the area. She spoke Spanish with my children and my daughters Avery Tessa and Reeseloved the experience. Highly recommend. If you was breathtaking and close to town. We hope to visit again.

Great house!

We had a great stay at Campo Azul. Xinia checked us in, showed us around and answered questions. She showed us how to squeeze sugar cane juice, where the mint and other herbs were and even brought some delicious empanadas. The only concern we had was the road in. It was really rocky with ruts. Our car scraped a few times! The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed to cook our meals. There were stores nearby for everything we needed. The grounds and flowers are beautiful!

Pastoral setting
