The TV and the landline phone was not working., asked the staff to come fix it but never did. The QR code provided for the hotel’s information didn’t even work so there was no Wi-fi. The breakfast is good though and there’s a lot of parking.

There were only two towels in the room upon arrival for a family of four. Had to go get more. There was no trash can in the room. No shampoo, conditioner, or body wash provided. Also, no soap holder of any kind in the shower. So all your stuff has to sit on the shower floor. Shower water has to run for almost ten minutes to get luke warm water. Dial was on full hot the whole shower time and never got anywhere near what a normal person would consider hot. Bathroom was very small overall. Several of the lights and outlets in the room didn’t work. HVAC unit was very noisy. Breakfast was good and well stocked.

Very disappointing experience. From front desk to the rooms. We were checking in around 4pm and the rooms were not ready. Staff was so rude. Staff said that the previous guest checked out late which is not our problem. Very inconvenient on our part. Staff was not even sorry or anything and acting arrogant.

First, we checked in to a room smells like a someone smoking cigarettes there. I called the receptionist which he dressed unprofessional with his flipflops and shorts. And he said all rooms are non-smoking. I got it but he the smelled it and he said he can spray. The smell of the room 145 appears the smoke already stick in the room. I kept the door opened the entire time of course except the nighttime. I called him again to spray and he offered me I can check out if I'm not happy and he can't offer me another room. I booked the room for 2 nights for the race in Laguna seca but we ended up checking out and left for him after the next day. I can't sleep another night with a smell of a cigarette in our clothes and in our mouth. Whatever I spray did not work and I brewed coffee and left coffee grounds. Such a terrible experience! Also we checked in with a friend and her room was not even ready at 4pm. We have plans to leave our stuff and get our race stuff before they closed at 6pm. Y'all need to change your name to WORST WESTERN!

I wanted to say that the staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. The issues I had were 1. The towels and linen smelled funny and had stains. 2. The bathroom set up is horrible. The door is too big so you have to wedge in between the toilet and the shower to close the door. 3. Water pressure was non existent and no hot water. 4. Toilet has a crack so it leaks. 5. Remote did not work unless you were standing right in front of TV. 6. AC units ours and next door were screeching especially at night. 7. Smoking area is right in the middle of the hotel so all the smell was coming into our room. Would not stay there again.

Location is perfect. Short walk to amazing State beach. Staff were friendly and informative. Lots of families staying there during Easter weekend but hotel was nice and quiet at night. Decent beds. Breakfast is included but don’t be too optimistic. You get a great location with quick access to Monterey without a Monterey hotel markup. And the beach is 100% worth it.

Had to go to Walmart to buy my own towels, the hotel towels were badly stained and I could not risk putting my face on it. This made me hesitant using the rest of the amenities. Friendly staff. Beach is right there.

Dirty sheets and towels with visible marks/stains. The room looks outdated. The staff at check in and the lady at the breakfast area was super friendly and nice. The only gripe was that the office staff didn’t let us know the water was shut off when we arrived. That meant the toilet wouldn’t flush and you couldn’t wash your hands or shower. Overall it was a cheap place to stay, but sometimes you get what you pay for.

I understand that work is being done in some areas of the motel, but it was pretty messy in the parking area and on the walkways. No shower body wash was provided. I called the front desk to ask that it be provided. Fresh towels were provided but no body wash or bath soap. I placed a privacy sign on the door because I had an important medical meeting in the morning at 9am. Around 9:35 the door was knocked on by housekeeping and this disrupted my medical appointment, well before the checkout time.
