"The negatives first. The food, in particular the local/ Jamaican dishes. Great effort is made to provide a number of local dishes but unfortunately having grown up in Jamaica i found them to be a little sub standard. Anyone who has ever visited "Border Jerk" or "Scotchies" would agree the Jerk dishes pale in comparison. There is some truth in the reviews about the pool bar staff as i noticed you're more likely to get served if you are a ample chested female and often ignored otherwise. The only other negative was the passive aggressive response by one server (Aniska) at breakfast when I asked for condense milk with my coffee, " if you want that you can find it same place you got your porridge ". Every other morning that request was met with a smile and "oh you like blue mountain the proper way". Another server Karila was quite the opposite and set a standard im sure the hotel would appreciate. The positives. The vast majority of staff were friendly engaging accommodating and helpful. So many fun activities for all that staff also got involved in. Very well maintained grounds especially considering the disruption caused by hurricane Melissa. The beach doesn't compare to Doctors Cave (not many in the world do) but still good enough for swimming relaxing and snorkeling as there is an abundance of sea life to observe. Having said that the sellers on kayaks who sit at shoreline looking in as you sit on beach looking out is a bit off putting. Had a great time, would stay again."

"It was great, I had a lot of fun, despite the fact that a lot of the property was being renovated. The staff were very attentive. I think there are some minor issues that ought to be addressed, for instance, the toilet seat was detached and the room was often slippery but it was still pretty good."
