Although I stayed for a fairly short while, the accommodations certainly met and exceeded expectations while the staff was both welcoming and helpful.

Was nice but there was absolutely no staff it kind of seemed almost abandoned and there was not a spa or gym which is included in the price but overall it’s quiet and good place to stay if you want to explore places in montauk everything is close by
Enjoyed the Montauk Fall Festival and being near so much water and the general manager was very helpful to us out of season visitors :) great restaurants
If you like an elevated camping experience for a reasonable price, this is the place for you. The location has small individual rooms that can be entered from the outside. The couryard and parking lot is open, full of pebbles and rocks to walk on. The main building for check-ins isn't open from the front and you will have to walk around to enter. There's limited staff there. The rooms are OK. Much repairs are needed; minor and cosmetic. This place has a lot of bugs as there are alot of trees. If you don't like that, this isn't the place. You will need to check in on your phone and texting is the best way to communicate. The location is good if you want the Montauk experience. They provide bikes at no cost but first come first served. Lastly, be sure to check your bank account once you book, they didn't follow the payment schedule as set by Expedia and took the full amount 2 months after the booking. I didnt like that clerical error and Expedia nor the hotel were helpful.
We had a great stay in Montauk. The property has been nicely updated and the staff go above and beyond! Kat and the staff were super friendly and helpful
We only needed to stay for one night but what an adorable room. So quaint and cozy. I loved the outside area with the tables and the beach like setting. The hotel had great communication and made sure we knew what to do because we were getting there late. Would definitely stay here again.
I loved this place. The suites are in these cute little houses that used to be a kids camp. The outdoor dining/fire/games area in the middle is great. I met several other guests at the campfire.

Such an incredible location and very nice property. If the guest rooms were updated with more natural light, less damp feeling and a bathroom renovation this would be a top quality hotel. Our room was very damp, the bedding was wet in the mornings, very little light and the bathroom was incredibly small and made us question the Overall price we paid for the stay. We would definitely return if their are other lodging accommodations available.
The property is clean and well maintained. The staff of cleaning not very friendly. Couldn’t reach anyone via email or in person but overall the place is nice, comfy rooms and very pretty.
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. What really made our experience special was the amazing service. Kat, the General Manager, was incredibly welcoming and attentive. She made sure we felt right at home and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We truly appreciated her kindness and professionalism. We’ll definitely be back!
This accommodation is hardly a hotel as there is no office or staff on site. Check in and out were done remotely via text. The place looks like a refurbished motel with small room spread out in a row and no office.
Positives were the comfort of the bed and the quality of the bed and bath linens.
Both the Expedia and Ruschmeyer’s website have been changed since we booked the room. The information available when we made the reservation stated our room would have a porch. It didn't.
The grounds look like a party location with tables, umbrellas, bean bags and hammocks, all in disarray with rubbish strewn about. Rubbish bin was overflowing.
Virtually no flat surfaces for belongings, no luggage rack.
No drinking glasses or hand soap in bathroom.
The shower curtain was filthy & the soap rack fell down.
The bathroom floor looked like it hadn't been swept or mopped.
Poor ventilation. Bathroom window sealed shut. The double-hung window was inoperable.
There was a chemical smell in the room from a dish of solid air freshener that we placed outside the room.
The de-humidifier hadn’t been emptied.
The throw pillow on the bed had streaks of paint on it.
We are experienced travelers and found this place to be a joke.
The reviews make Ruschmeyer’s seem worse than it actually is. Our stay was not horrible, but it was not great either. The property has a lot of potential, but there is room for improvement.
For the end of August, the hotel felt surprisingly deserted. One night, we appeared to be the only guests. There was no one present for check in or check out, and aside from the cleaning crew, we did not see a single staff member. We found the complete lack of staff off putting and, at times, a little creepy.
The cleaning crew was the best part of our experience. They refreshed the room each day while we were at the beach and replenished the complimentary water and snacks, which we appreciated.
The room was clean and charming, but not very functional. We had two queen beds with almost no space for our belongings. The bathroom was small, and the unusually high sink and awkward layout made it difficult to use comfortably.
The website also needs more detailed information. We were unsure what amenities were available, and there was no one to ask. The room had a helpful mini fridge that was not mentioned online. We were told there was a microwave available, but with the restaurant closed and no staff in the main building, we could not access it.
The outdoor space is attractive, with firepits and lights, but music and conversations carry into the rooms. When guests stayed outside past 10 p.m., it was difficult to sleep, so bring earplugs.

The lack of a front desk and no internet service made it a confusing check in but one of the staff was an immense help.

This property is a very cute cabin community with decent rooms and very comfortable beds. The room was clean and the bathroom was fairly reasonable as well (a bit small but nice shower). The grounds are beautiful and the location is great.
The downside is the staff is not very helpful and didn't provide the information requested. They were also unreachable to get the wifi password so no wifi for us during our stay! All the facilities including the restaurant and bar were closed. When we asked about it the first answer was "open seasonally". Since it was late June I asked what season if not summer!! Then the answer changed to "we are renovating" but no evidence of such activity!
So if you want a place to just sleep, then this is a good place and relatively reasonably priced (still "spendy" for what it is)...
The check in was a phone call with someone clearly at a restaurant. LOUD, could hardly hear him.
I was then DOUBLE charged for my room on the of the deposit.
Our bathroom had a backup sewer or something as it made the whole room smell incredibly bad.
Too bad, this place used to be great, especially when the restaurant was open and they had actual staff.
SAD.
Would never go back or recommend.
There was no restaurant functioning and this wasn’t noted on the website. There was one staff on site. The standard rooms are of different size and quality. It’s not worth the price for getting nothing other than a very basic room.

There was no front desk. We tried calling the number that was given to us multiple times and no one answered. Then finally called after hours and got our room. I requested a late check out but never confirmed it. Overall it was nice but wouldn’t come back.
