Beautiful property close to town

There was a mixup with the room we had booked, so were given another room which was just as nice, room 5. It was adjacent to the breakfast room however, so if you like to sleep in, maybe not the room for you. The room was beautifully decorated, clean, large and very comfortable. Very private until the breakfast time happens at 8 am. Breakfast was delicious. The only complaint was the hot water shower pressure was pretty weak. We brought that to the attention of the owner and she said they would address the problem. The property is beautiful and close to town. I would recommend staying there to anyone.

Een leuke locatie in Montagu.

Onze kamer had een badkamer met ligbad, maar de douche was buiten de badkamer op de patio. Dat was wat vreemd. Ontbijt was prima met bediening aan tafel.

Beautiful vineyard b&b

This is a really lovely setting, with the rooms facing onto the property's vineyard setting. Everything is very comfortable and clean. The new owner Estelle is a wonderful host, friendly, welcoming, and concerned that our visit was perfect. Her dinner recommendation (22 on Church) was one of the best meals we had in a 9-day trip to the Cape region of South Africa. Breakfast served in an intimate dining area facing out onto the property was perfect. We could not have been more pleased with our visit.

Een aanrader dit mag je echt niet missen

Het was in 3 woorden geweldig , fantastisch, AWESOME Zo een gezellige kamer precies strandhuisje tussen de wijnranken en de witte rozen. De lady of the house is zo lief , zo ontzettend vriendelijk en wat een bediening. Het ontbijt is een 5* waard. Zowel een streling voor het oog als op de tong . Ons hart deed pijn en als we hadden gekund zouden we zeker langer gebleven hebben .

Absolute gem of a place. Arrived at 2200 to a warm welcome and heated bed with lekker bed-linen and heaters. Lovely large bath. And then this morning the out-of-this-world breakfast.

What a pleasant surprise. The room was very comfortable. Sitting on our own verandah sipping a drink at the end of the day after a swim was wonderful. The staff were fantastic. Ending our stay was a wonderfully presented and delicious breakfast. I can highly recommend staying over. In addition, Montagu is a quaint little town that is well kept.

Das Frühstück ist einfach perfekt.

Wir waren bereits das 2.Mal im Vineyard Country House und es ist eine wahre Freude. Das Zimmer ist sehr schön eingerichtet, in ruhiger Umgebung mit Blick auf die Weinstöcke. Die Lokale kann man wunderbar zu Fuß erreichen. Das Frühstück ist bestimmt das beste einer jeden Südafrika-Reise.

fantastisch ontbijt!

We hebben er maar kort kunnen verblijven, we waren immers op doorreis. Locatie was prachtig, midden in de wijngaard. In het dorpje is weinig te beleven, maar het restaurant even verderop is zeer goed! Echt lekker gegeten.

Recommended in Montagu

ou find a gem and it just all feels right. Montagu is a great place. it has a lot to offer and there are many B&B's vying for your rand. looking from afar with just peoples comments can be hard as your not sure if its so true. Believe me the comments made here back up the quality of what is being offered. A clean, friendly, organised, peaceful setting in a good location. The Vineyard has friends all around the area recommending it - and equally they will recommend good places for you. At the heart of the offering is a breakfast that is very well presented (using home grown flowers and herbs) and a number of courses that leave you set up for whatever your choice for the day is. the location provides for walking to all areas of the town. Use it and visit the different offerings and this becomes a perfect base. The restaurants just up the road, the art galleries across the Saturday morning market. Its all part of the character and charm. The Vineyard is Montagu and vice versa. I enjoyed 4 nights here with a great team that Lauren and Louise have and I am sure you would.
