The accommodation with best views

We stayed here for two nights during our Easter holiday and it was such lovely stay in Montagu. The warm and very friendly host, stunning views on the deck, the great location, fresh breakfast and beautiful gardens. I highly recommend this place :)

It was a perfect stay and rest. Stay longer and they have many things to do in the area. Hikes, guided tours, cycling, motor bike club and even a Rolls Royce car tour. The host was wonderful and caring, it was a lovely stay Colin from London

Sehr persönliche Lodge. Mit super Service durch den Besitzer ( Alain). Kleine Bar mit Belgischen Bieren. Am Abend kann man gut zu Fuss ins Stadtzentrum gehen.

Deze mensen zijn 7 jaar geleden begonnen met hun Lodge. Prima verzorgd een hele hartelijke ontvangst, zonder opdringerig te zijn. Je voelt je gelijk thuis, ruime kamer en een gezellige bar en voor de bier liefhebbers een mooie verzameling Belgische bieren. Kunt ook een dag met de heer des huizen op pad voor de omgeving te bekijken. Gasten gesproken die er al een aantal jaren terug komen. Lekker zwembad niet groot maar verzorgd met een prachtig dakterras die uitkijkt over de stad.

Wir waren zwei Nächte in Montague und es hat uns gut gefallen. Es ist ein nettes Dörfchen umgeben von Bergen. Die Unterkunft hat ein kleinen Pool und ein Roofdeck mit schöner Aussicht. Hat uns sehr gefallen.

Uitstekende locatie. Bijzonder hartelijke en gastvrije familie. Uitgebreide assortiment aan Belgische bieren! Jammergenoeg geen ontbijt en diner geboekt. Bewaren we voor de volgende keer. Ruime en schone kamer.

Katastrophe! Unfreundlicher Empfang durch den Gastgeber, Anlage hinterlässt einen trostlosen Eindruck, Zimmer wirken kalt. Pool ohne fixen Einstieg! Absolutes no go: Spermaspuren auf der Bettdecke. Frühstück sehr bescheiden. Wir haben uns entschieden, für die 2. (bezahlte) Nacht eine andere Lodge zu suchen. Wir raten dringend ab, in dieser Lodge zu buchen.

Beautiful Lodge with Breathtaking Views

Gorgeous property with beautiful view of the town and mountains from the roof deck. The room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The owners were friendly, informative and prepared an awesome breakfast. Definitely recommended.

Für eine Nacht ok

Einfache Zimmer. Keine Tür zwischen Zimmer und Bad, sehr unglücklich. Die Lage ist solala, kein schöner Ort, dafür ein guter Ausvlick und der Pool ist klein aber okay. Es stehen 4 Liegeb bereit. Das Abendessen waren 3 Gänge ohne Info vorher was es gibt und für den Preis (600R) viel zu teuer für die Qualität. Aber es hätte sonst nichts im Ort auf. Für eine Nacht ok, aber es gibt definitiv schönere Unterkünfte.

Fantastische B&B in Montagu

Fantastische locatie met alle comfort (dakterras, fijne bar met alle belgische bieren en heerlijke wijnen, zwembad!). Gastvrouw en gastheer bijzonder aangenaam en behulpzaam! Locatie in de buurt van goede restaurants en Hot Springs!

Interesting house rules

This beautiful guest house has some interesting house rules including no check-in before 3 p.m. and check-out by 10 a.m. Dinner on-site must be booked in advance, which we had not realised. The room was spacious and well laid out. If you want to find Belgian beers in Africa, this is the place for you.

liebevoll geführtes B&B in den Bergen, viel zu schade für nur einen stopover. in fußläufiger Entfernung zur Hauptstraße mit Restaurants und Geschäften. Tolle Terrasse mit Blick. Sehr nette Gastgeber.

Fantastisch

Leider waren wir nur 1 Tag dort. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Schönes sauberes Zimmer mit Blick zum Garten. Tolle Terrasse wo man was trinken kann. Frühstück war auch sehr gut. Kann man gerne weiter empfehlen.

Guesthouse in ruhiger Lage mit gutem Ausblick

Wir waren nur eine Nacht dort, auf der Durchreise und können nur wenig zur Qualität der weiteren Angebote sagen. Im Haus gibt die Möglichkeit Motorräder zu mieten! Es werden auch geführte Ausflüge zu Weingütern mit Shuttleservice angeboten. Das Haus hat eine Bar mit Schankerlaubnis, was in dieser Kategorie nicht üblich ist.

It's a bit of a fortress, and the wifi is feeble to the extent that "it's free and this is Africa" just won't do - what's needed is a £50 wifi amp. That said, our room was well laid out and comfy, breakfast was excellent, and the scenery from the top deck/pool area is spectacular.

Overnight stay during road trip

Upon arrival, hosts told us about the facilities, breakfast, town, restaurants, etc. Rooms were modern and the bathroom spacious. Everything was professional and our expectations were met.

Wir waren nur eine Nacht in der Mountain View Lodge in Montagu - auf Durchreise. Die Gastgeber waren sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war zweckmäßig eingerichtet, aber sehr sauber. Einziger Minuspunkt: Das Bad ist zwar vom Zimmer aus nicht einsehbar, hat aber keine Tür (also vielleicht eher etwas für Paare) :-) Der Ausblick von der Hotelterrasse auf die Berge ist atemberaubend!
