Guests can enjoy the enchanting atmosphere of this property, complete with heating, iron, AC, and more. Experience the magic of Mitchell at our house.

    Spacious & Modern Painted Hills Vacation Home
    Location:
    Located just a few miles from the stunning Painted Hills, one of the 7 Wonders of Oregon, our home is spacious and open with modern amenities and relaxing outdoor spaces. We have completely updated the house with all new furniture and beautiful design touches making it the perfect place to stay when exploring Central & Eastern Oregon!

    A short walk to Mitchell's Main Street with a brewery, three restaurants, general store, and a gas station, this house is centrally located and but feels very private when relaxing in the back yard.

    Our House:
    This house has two bedrooms with new queen size beds and memory foam mattresses along with an additional queen size sleeper sofa in the living room. Each bed has soft sheets, extra blankets if needed and plenty of pillows.

    Our large kitchen has stainless steel appliances including a large refrigerator, dishwasher, new stove, microwave & toaster oven. It is well stocked with dishware and cookware along with cooking staples such as spices and oil making it easy to cook all your favorite meals. We also have a propane grill in our back yard, with propane included!

    We have a Keurig single serve coffee maker with several complimentary pods to use and a coffee press if you bring ground coffee (We do not have a coffee grinder).

    Our dining table is extendable for seating and we provide extra chairs for seating up to six people.

    We have a fenced front yard, and a very large fenced back yard with a covered patio, seating for 6, and cornhole & croquet for entertainment.

    We have free wifi, a dvd player with a selection of movies, a Roku streaming device that can be used with your Netflix, Prime or Hulu accounts and books and games. We do not provide cable or satellite tv.
    House Rules
    Noise: We are located in a quiet neighborhood, so absolutely no parties and we ask for quiet hours after 9pm in outdoor spaces
    Home Use: We rely on all of our guests to take care of our home as if it were there own
    Pets: We charge a $25 pet fee as long as guests clean up all traces both inside and outside

Nice place! Small town- We got lucky and barely made it to grab dinner at Tiger Brewery nearby. Comfortable! Extras included an impressive selection of quality teas with local honey. We spent the evening enjoying a game of Pictionary with our son and his fiancé. Memories made!

Property fenced all the way around so good for a pet. Very large kitchen dining area that can accommodate a small group get together. Covered back patio was the main hangout. Lawn had been mowed so corn hole was nice to have. Opened windows at night, closed during mid day heat and it stayed cool inside all day. Comfortable beds! Good water and shower very nice.

This home was both very clean and well cared for. All appliances worked and supplies of coffee, tea, local honey and Ghirardelli chocolates were perfect. We were in the area for the John Day Fossils beds and were mid-range to all. Highly recommend if Fossil and the area are of interest.

I really loved my stay here. The house was beautifully decorated, well stocked, and very clean. I loved the cozy beds and pillows. This is a sweet, teeny town. The host was considerate and I loved the gift of her home-raised honey. I would definitely not hesitate to stay again.

The house was immaculate! Check in instructions given in advance so no need to worry day of arrival. Very well stocked and instructions included owners number for emergency issues. Yard had grass for my four legged friend. The Painted Hills were a short distance away.

This place was perfect! Attention to detail that I have never experienced on VRBO. A lint roller? My favorite thing, right there on the shelf! Honey made by the beekeeper-host? I’m in love!

The house was delightful, and the couch bed was comfortable for my teen. It was also very well stocked - pots, pans, shampoos, big fridge etc. They also had a wonderful back patio. It was our favorite stay in Oregon so far.Mitchell's little grocery store was also surprisingly well stocked for its size. The gas was expensive but it's also the only one around for awhile.Highly recommend!

Mitchell is conveniently located to Painted Hills and the home decor reflected that connection. It was perfect for us: two humans and a small dog. Appreciated: ramp to front door; fenced yard, front and back; easy access to shower for those with mobility challenges (not in a wheelchair); overall cleanliness and essential kitchen supplies. Gracie, the dog, discovered the bean bag chair and made that “hers” during our stay! We look forward to trying the complementary honey! In general, Mitchell has experienced the ravages of time, but this home - and the Tiger Town Brewery - are exemplary exceptions.
