This is our 3rd time staying at Ciboney, but our first time in this particular unit. I love the location, we had a good view of the ocean and the unit was decorated nicely. We always stay here since it has its own beach access, and it’s beside our favorite restaurant. Our first issue was at checkin. The door code sent to me did not work at all, so after lugging up our bags we were stuck standing at the door in 100° heat trying to call the property manager to get us the correct code. Second, the dryer does not work. Like, at all. It took five cycles to even remotely get the towels dry, so we had to start hanging towels on the balcony instead. Lastly, I highly suggest changing whoever you use to launder the bedding. The sheets had obviously not been changed. There were long black hairs and what looked to be scabs on the bed after pulling back the covers, so after driving 7+ hours I had to wash the bedding before we could even sleep. The mattress pad also had an old menstrual stain that they look to have attempted to clean, but should have been thrown away completely. There was a set of clean sheets left on the couch (not sure if they knew they didn’t clean the linens and wanted us to change them or what) but they were queen size sheets and both beds were king. Overall, we love Ciboney and will be back, but we will not be staying in this unit or any units managed by this particular group again.
