This is a beautiful property just outside of the main town of Mindo on a dirt road. It’s very quiet and you will hear the sound of birds and frogs. We saw quite a few different birds just sitting on the porch outside our unit. The staff is very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The grounds and dining area are beautiful. The included breakfast is good and it’s nice to have the option to have dinner on property if you don’t feel like going out. Wonderful stay in Mindo.

Our stay could not have been better! The room, facilities, staff, and location were all top notch! The bungalow (#8) was clean and comfortable with an amazing view. Being on the outskirts of town meant it was quiet for a peaceful sleep. If you are carrying bags I would recommend taking a taxi from the town centre when you arrive. Without bags, it is a short 5 minute walk back to the town centre - we did this multiple times and enjoyed the walk. We enjoyed the pool - basic but a great temperature and we had it to ourselves all three days. There is a games room (chess and other board games available) behind the pool and a small hut for massages. The onsite restaurant is open air with great views. Breakfast is included (fruit plate, coffee/tea, fresh juice, eggs, fresh bread with butter and jams) and was the best we had in all of Ecuador. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner - we splurged and got the 7 course taster menu. It was amazing and I would definitely recommend it. We were so full we struggled to finish the last 3 courses. The coffee is grown by the games room and is available for purchase to take some home with you. Lastly, the staff were amazing! Very friendly and helpful. They recommended a few things to do/see around town, and called taxis for us. We were also able to check-in early and they let us check-out late. They also arranged a taxi to take us from the hotel to the airport, rather than taking a taxi-bus-taxi to the airport as our flight was at night.

This property sits away from the main Mindo strip so offers quiet and natural setting. I stayed two nights and arrived on Thursday night. Just a few guests were there. I ordered dinner at a restaurant which is located on the second floor of the lobby. Food is fantastic here. Food in Mindo in general is very good but at the Coffee and Spa it’s way beyond fantastic. It was so good I took a cooking class at the hotel and it turned out the chef was educated in a culinary school and trained at various top rated restaurants in Quito. Breakfast is fantastic, offers 4,5 or 6 different food all fresh, plus coffee and fresh fruit juice. I had dinner twice here and both times were so good. Way better than restaurants in 5 star hotels in the states. Ground and inside cabin I stayed in are super clean. All staff are very friendly. Mindo main street is 10-15 minutes walk but they will call a taxi if needed. I highly recommend this place if you want to stay in quiet and natural setting in Mindo.

Absolutely wonderful property with very kind and friendly owners. Would recommend and definitely stay there again. The option to pay for all the tickets to the different attractions and then pay the hotel at the end (allowing you to use a credit card in a very cash-heavy town) was a great. There's no extra charge, the tickets cost the same as they would at the attractions. We asked for a late check out to allow us to shower after visiting the waterfalls before we departed and they were very kind to oblige at no extra charge. I'd recommend to anyone considering Mindo!

The food was good and the staff was very nice. They also speak English, which may be helpful. Tickets to things like zip lining are cheaper if you buy them on site rather than at the venue. The only down side to mention was the bed and pillows. They are hard, and I don’t mean firm. I have a firm mattress. Both were so hard I didn’t sleep at all and got up very stiff the next day. My partner, who can sleep on and through anything had the same experience.

The location of the Lodge was perfect-slightly outside of town but within walking distance. The owners were super friendly and accommodating. Beautiful grounds, spotless lodging, and scrumptious authentic Ecuadorian breakfasts. We highly recommend Mindo Coffee Lodge & Spa.

This lovely property is located in a beautiful area with great views all around. The grounds are beautifully maintained with a variety of local plants and trees. The room is large and well finished with a covered private terrace. A little outside Mindo, its worth the short cab ride for the peace and quiet.

Härligt hotel i härlig miljö

Allt fungerade bra från incheckning till utcheckning. Hade ett härligt rum med bubbelbad. Poolen utanför var rätt stor. Personalen var trevliga och gav bra tips på vad man kunde göra och var. Även om jag inte skulle kalla det för frukostcafe så var det en bra frukost. Jag skulle dock inte rekomendera att äta lunch/middag på hotelet. Den var inte dålig, men du får bättre inne i Mindo.

Sehr schöne Bungalows in einem romantischen Garten und trotzdem in fußläufiger Entfernung zur Stadt. Sehr aufmerksame Gastgeber. Insgesamt eine tolle Anlage. Leider hatten wir Pech mit dem Wetter (Regenzeit). Z. T. Hat es sechs Stunden lang durch geregnet, also am besten Klimatabelle beachten ;-)

A little piece of heaven in the rain clouds

OMG! What an amazing place that Maria and her lovely family have created here. The rooms are amazing. The beds SO comfortable. Everything is done to such a high standard. Nothing is too much. The pool is lovely. Gardens excellent. It's within easy reach of the butterfly farm, the zip wire experience, Tarabita and birdwatching. The food is DELICIOUS. An absolutely wonderful find. Highly recommended.

we stayed one night but wished for more. Maria and Fred run a lovely resort and maintain it beautifully. It is evident that they are committed to this endeavor. The independent accommodation is impeccably clean and spacious. Waking up to birdsong was sheer delight. the gardens are lush and colorful. Our breakfast was delicious and generous. someday we hope to return with the rest of our family.

Do not hesitate to stay here.

A perfect location away from the town, but easy walk to get there (over very fun walking bridge). The owners are wonderful, perfect English and always ready to help. We did not see any other place we would have rather stayed in Mindo. Restaurant has great food and drink, we spent a raining few hours with some sangria and apps. and it was delightful. Pay attention to signs to get there, go through town to dirt road, over the river single bridge and up the really dirt road to the hotel. No problem, we had small rental car, but just a few twists and turns to get there (best to not come at dark first time).

Outstanding service, immaculate!

Maria is a wonderful hostess and goes out of her way to help. When my husband wanted Diet Coke, she went to the store and bought some. Her breakfasts were delicious, and she will cook special meals outside of the menu. The rooms and grounds were kept in perfect condition.

Amazing place to stay in Mindo - highly recommend!

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Mindo Coffee Lodge and Spa. The owners are wonderful and treat everyone like special guests. The location is perfect - 5 mins walk into the town, in a peaceful area where you can enjoy the sounds of the birds but no noisy people. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The food was absolutely delicious and it was wonderful sitting outside upstairs in the dining area enjoying a view over the Mindo surroundings. This place is fantastic! Wifi was not great, but it didn't matter to us as everything else was so perfect.
