"We stayed here for our mini-moon, it was perfection from start to finish. They upgraded our room to a hot tub suite which was stunning. All the amenities were beautiful and the spa was very special Would highly recommend"

"I loved this old hotel for is quirky charm and character. Wasn't so keen on the six spiders living in the corners of our bedroom! There was no phone in the room, as advertised in the welcome page, so we had to go down to ask for things but the staff were so friendly and helpful. Would def stay again. Lovely and quiet and very spacious room with a great view. Would def benefit from a fan as it was roasting in our room. Breakfast was lovely and the whole stay was very good value for money."

"Cannot fault this place, must be one of the best places to stay in the lake district. Plenty of parking, it's spotlessly clean, brilliant location on the bank of Windermere. Plenty to do with boats trips, the lake aquarium and steam railway there. The team there are fantastic, friendly and really helpful, I'd definitely go again."

Only gripe really was the road noise if you get a front facing room.menu was a bit restricted,need a good burger on it. Staff were great ,knowledgable about area. I had a single room with comfy bed, plenty of tea/coffee & storage. England suite was well equipped. l was a little surprised at the marks on the paintwork around the bed for such a high quality hotel, but this didn't affect my stay"

Beautiful hotel, lovely staff in all areas, very attentive and Joy was an absolute joy, she was very helpful in the dining room as my partner is a coeliac. We had dinner in the evening and food was lovely, very delicious.......fantastic location too for all amenities. Definitely our go to hotel now for future visits to Bowness."
