We had an excellent stay the night before Columbus Day! Even though the place was fully booked, everything was very well organized. We arrived late, and Stacy left us a note with clear directions to our room, making check-in easy. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was made to order, with a modest selection that was just enough to start the day. We especially loved the cozy atmosphere and the living room filled with books. We would love to visit again!

We happened to be there during the week between weddings so had the place mostly to ourselves. Lovely farm setting with vegetable gardens and chickens and pigs to wander among. There was a lovely watercolor painting exhibit in barn. Extensive trail system right behind the fields. Manager Stacy was very gracious and helpful. Breakfast cooked to order, delicious. Very peaceful setting.

Amazing clean and very family friendly staff . Loved the farm living experience. Waking up to some fresh breakfast made go your taste, with farm fresh eggs. Had vegetarian options too. A wonderful and a most memorable stay.

Not the experience I expected to have with a such a high rated place. The room had many maintenance issues: main door wouldn’t close all the way, bathroom door wouldn’t close unless you lifted it off its hinges, bathroom faucet was coming out of the counter, and the room temp never warmed up. The cleanliness was the MAJOR issue. Dirty and stained carpets, bedding had cat/dog hair all over it, toilet and shower were dirty and gross, walls/doors were dirty. Pillows smelled unclean and had just one pillowcase, no covers. The beds were old and extremely uncomfortable (old springs, hard). To boot the entire place smelled like old bacon grease. Really a loss for words to describe our experience and disappointment. No staff onsite to address the issues.

Loved the overall vibe and service during our stay. The rooms are cozy and there are several public living spaces to hang out, meet guests, etc Breakfast was fantastic - made to order from a small menu of choices in a sunny, roomy dining area with plenty of tables. We unfortunately didn’t get to try American Flatbread, the happening elevated pizza restaurant attached to the inn as they were very busy that night and we were sort of brushed off upon arrival and left immediately. The only issue we had was the bathroom. It’s an old house so the antique sink is in the corner of the room (which is fine and the kind of thing you expect when staying in old inns) but the actual bathroom had a couple issues. One is the shower curtain was strung on an old rusty cafe curtain rod hanging on wooden closet dowel holders so not secure and when opening and closing (it fell off after a shower) and just looks rather distasteful. Also the toilet cleaning brush holder was very old and dirty looking and very visible in the tiny space. Not pleasant to look at and made me wonder how clean the bathroom really was. Bed was very comfortable, decor was spot in for an antique inn and service was fine. If we are ever in the area we would consider staying there again.

Just what you'd expect from a Vermont farmhouse stay. Staff was attentive and courteous and a great breakfast to start your day and then at night a short walk to the barn on site for Flatbread pizza and beer! Would certainly stay again. Phil J.

A beautiful fall trip to Vermont.

It was amazing to stay at this farm that was built in the 1760's. We loved the exposed beams in our room. The owner was vety friendly. The breakfast was great. We liked the location near Stowe.
