Dam View Shepherds Hut
Dam View Shepherds HutRhayader
"The room (shepherds hut) was great just the right size for two of us and the hot tub was huge. We didn’t need to ask for anything but saw the staff at the other huts and lodges cleaning etc, always very chatty when we saw them. Location was a little bit difficult to find but once there we were fine. Very close to Elan Valley and we had a view of one of the dams from out hut which was beautiful. All in all we had a great stay."

Snowdonia Sunbeach Holiday Sea and Mountain View
Snowdonia Sunbeach Holiday Sea and Mountain ViewLlwyngwril
"The whole site is very quiet, which I really loved. It feels safe and is perfect for families. The caravan was clean and a good size for a family of four. The extractor fan wasn’t working, but we still managed fine and could get rid of the cooking smells (while cooking) by airing the caravan. My only criticism would be the beach. It’s not sandy beach or not even pebbles is quite rocky, with some very large rocks. You need to check the tide times if you want to reach and walk on the sand (...

Hen's Hideaway

"The whole stay was beautiful! It was clean, spacious and the host even left Welsh cakes, eggs and milk in the fridge for me. It’s the first time I’ve solo travelled and this place was perfect for me, but I can also see it being perfect for a couple too! The host also left a “guide” on the table, with key information and recommendations for local places to eat and things to do, as well as cab companies which was really useful! I will absolutely be staying again! I had the best time and couldn’t...

Evenjobb Court Farmhouse

"We stayed at Evenjobb Court Farmhouse for three nights while working on a project nearby, and it couldn’t have been better. The house is fantastic, spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and incredibly spacious, with everything we could possibly need. The amenities were excellent and fully stocked, which made the stay really comfortable and hassle-free. The hosts were absolutely wonderful, very accommodating and excellent communicators from start to finish. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again,...

Penuwch Fach

"We as a family of 5 + a 3 yr old spent a delightful week at Penuwch Fach in July/August 2024. We were attending an interment and celebration of life nearby so the location was perfect. We were met by the owner and there was a welcome wine/biscuits plus tea and coffee. There is a Nespresso Gusto machine too plus a few pods :). The farmhouse had generous sized bedrooms and two living spaces as well as the very well equiped kitchen diner. There was a travel cot and high chair available too (bring...

Top Mid-Wales Hotel Reviews
The Hafod Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Top notch place to stay, but what makes it special is the bucolic environment within which it sits. Drinks and dinner across the narrow road, with waiting staff navigating the occasional logging truck is not something you see everyday, made for a very memorable summer evening."
Penhelig Arms
8/10 Good
"Clean room and very helpful staff but bar was closed (despite notice saying open till 11pm) on our return. We didn't breakfast there but went to Coast in the village. Recommended. No Car park that we were made aware of either."
Gwesty'r Marine Hotel & Spa

"Friendly cleaning staff. Reception staff cold and long wait"
The Fanny Talbot
10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely amazing place .. great food.. lovely staff..the guy at the front of the house who worked the bar and breakfasts was so nice.... a true gentleman made everyone feel welcome.. the rooms were fantastic with air conditioning ..we had an apartment with all the cooking things available if we wanted to cook for ourselves but we had breakfast included and then self catering .parking is provided free in a nearby carpark. The hotel is situated in the centre of Barmouth but it was still very quiet ..it's a five minute walk from the beach and there's loads of restaurants and bars nearby some are dog friendly. All in all it was one of the best break aways that we'd ever had .. Barmouth is such a wonderful place it has everything you need for a holiday ..beaches ...gift shops.. history ... Country walks..good railway and transport links..and very close to Snowdonia with river walks and hidden rock pools . The only downside is that we didn't stay long enough !!..but we've booked in again for next year it was that good 👍👍"
