This was a solid vacation rental in a beautiful location.
This property is in a decent building that has a pool, spa and gym facility. The unit had a few small hiccups upon arrival. The AC was not feeling very cool and the AC unit was dumping water out of the bottom of it onto the water heater. We immediately notified the front desk and the owner was contacted. The owner’s son came and replaced the filter and said that would fix the problem (lol). The air did cool off but the water continued to leak. The fridge had a very foul smell and was not keeping cold. I put a box of baking soda inside and played with the temp controls and it eventually cooled off. There were no dishwasher tabs provided to we had to hand wash the dishes throughout the stay. There were food crumbs on the floor in the kitchen and lots of scuffs on walls and dust on baseboards. The master shower had black mildew in the grout lines and edges of the glass door. I went through and thoroughly cleaned these things. Aside from these cleanliness issues we had a fun time staying in this unit. The lanai was very pleasant to sit on at any time of day and there were no bugs. Unfortunately, my daughter spiked a high fever with two nights left on our vacation so we had to rush home. The owner refused to reimburse me for any of that time. One other thing, all the sliding glass doors in the building are extremely loud when being opened and shut so it was somewhat of a disturbance when we were trying to sleep and the people in surrounding units were going in and out.
