Historic and Hospitable

Very special to be able to stay at the point in the Loire where Joan of Arc crossed to defeat the English! Lovely hotel with a friendly kind staff. Very very glad to have a restaurant in the middle of winter!

Beautiful location

Beautiful hotel nestled on the Loire. Amazing view from our room and the terrace for dinner. The courtyard was beautiful and a relaxed atmosphere ran throughout. Staff were very friendly and helpful

Staying in an old fortified property dating back to the 100 years war with stunning views from the bedroom of the Loire river was definitely a unique experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely.

Beautiful rustic hotel with amazing view of the Loire River. I truly felt like I was back in time. I was a bit surprised by the self check in, but figured it out. The hotel restaurant was nice, and many restaurants are a quarter mile walk into town. Excellent breakfast.

Très bel hôtel, ce petit coin de paradis est situé à 30 min d'Orléans en voiture. Idéal pour passer une nuit au calme entre deux journées de boulot mouvementée. Bon restaurant. Attention, prix du repas pas très abordable pour les petits budgets.

We loved location on the Loire. Terrace where you could dine overlooking Loire. Grounds were interesting. Breakfast good. Room is simple while maintaining historic ambience. Bathroom large and updated in deluxe room.

Lieu prestigieux, moyennement entretenu.

Chambre privilège très spacieuse donnant une vue splendide sur la Loire. Cependant les équipement sont très fatigués, ventilateur bruyant, literie usée, salle de bain aux accessoires premiers prix, notamment pommeau et flexible, taches noircies sur le carrelage de la douche et calcaire plein le robinet le tout dans une décoration violine d’un autre temps. Au delà de ça, le lieu est charmant et le personnel très sympathique et accueillant.

Captivated by the historical significance of the property regarding Joan of Arc and the Battle of Orleans. Late booking had us 57 narrow stairs up in a non-air conditioned room which did not excite my husband but it overlooked the river and the moon view compensated all that for me.
