We enjoyed our stay at Merida Santiago Hotel Boutique. The staff are amazing, the room is immaculate, the restaurant serves delicious food, and the vibe is welcoming and laid back. We liked the location- away from the center but within walking distance to everything. Would definitely stay here again!
The Boutique Hotel Santiago is amazing. Everyone is always so welcoming and helpful. The room was perfect! Very clean and well supplied with more than we could ask for. We will be back for another stay and for many future meals at their Johannes Restaurant.
This property is a true gem. It was like a hidden oasis with incredible food. The owner and staff were magnificent. We stayed for 4 nights while visiting our son and could not have felt more rejuvenated and relaxed.
This boutique hotel wasn’t our plan, but fortunately was just around the corner from the VRBO property we had booked and which turned out to not to be habitable because of some technical problems.
The owners were very nice and very helpful to us during the four days we stayed there. The restaurant was excellent and the margarita they made was the best one I had in Mexico.
From this location we were pleased to find eminently walkable streets and lots of dining and shopping options. It was quite close to the zoo as well (an amazing zoo, by the way).
The check-in was smooth. They reached out to us earlier asking when we would arrive. The room is very nice. We had tacos and empanadas by the pool at the on-site restaurant. Service and food are excellent.
If like me you vacation at a hotel for a nice room to sleep in but not to spend your whole time there and thus requiring a lot of amenities and luxury, then this place is quite nice. The kitchen and hotel staff are excellent, friendly and anxious to please. Food fantastic for a small hotel. Peaceful locale and walk to points of interest. The only improvement would be hot water instead of luke warm (but the Merida heat makes it tolerable) and better toilet flushing (both of which are not uncommon). Great value for the money. I spent 5 nights. Give them a try!
Great service and the room was absolutely as advertised. Wish we had more time to spend there. Staff was great and suffered through our poor Spanish. 😳
Marisol was very helpful!!
Very quiet location with a 10 minute walk to restaurants and bars. Alternatively UBER is always within 5 minutes. We parked our car directly outside in a reserved space. Market, supermarkets and ATM just around the corner. Really enjoyed our 4 nights there
This place made our stay in Merida the best ever! We had a room with a private patio that was superb. It was spacious, the cleanliness was unparalleled, the room had everything you could need-fresh towels and room service every day, tv, blanket, toiletries, coffee AND homemade complimentary cookies! The staff and owners are AMAZING! They will be sure you have the best experience. We had breakfast, dinner and drinks at the restaurant downstairs EVERY night and the food WILL NOT disappoint! OMG! Every meal was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! There is a pool, cooking classes, tequila tasting and a garden! It is truly an oasis in the city and I will definitely stay here again when I am in Merida. It would be a pleasure.
We stayed four nights in this beautifully designed 7 room boutique hotel in the historic district of Mérida. Our room was large and bright, with high ceilings, and had a very private terrace with table and chairs. The bathroom was large and had good lighting. There is a small restaurant and bar with a good variety of menu items and reasonable prices. Everything we ordered was delicious and presented beautifully. We enjoyed talking with the owner of the hotel, who is a wealth of information about Mérida and Mexico in general and provided lots of tips about the area. All the staff were very friendly and helpful; they booked a tour for us to Celestún which picked us up at the door. The hotel is a short walk from the main historic area of the city. We highly recommend this hotel!
This property is a piece of paradise in the middle of Merida. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The towels were plush, plenty of fresh drinking water. Breakfast was EXCELLENT. The only negative comment I have is about the air conditioning in the room. When we checked in, the room was on fire. And the bathroom was like a sauna. It was 37 degrees Celsius outside and they had left the window open causing the room to heat up even more.
We turned on the air conditioning but it took a long time to cool down the room. The bathroom does NOT have an air vent so it stays warm all day and all night. It has a ceiling fan but it is NOT enough.
When we would leave during the day, the hotel would turn off our air. For the price we paid, I expected to have a cool room waiting for me, not a sauna. This was very frustrating.
The staff was amazing, so helpful, and readily available. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The breakfast and regular menu were delicious. Very easy, relaxing place to stay.
Superbe hôtel avec de belles prestations, un personnel au top (mention speciale à Carlos et à la chef de cuisine).
Malheureusement, chambre mal insonorisée et au rez de chaussé donc reveillés très tôt
I do appreciate all the care and attention I received along with my wife from the owner of the hotel and his staff during my stay. It’s a family atmosphere coupled with all modern amenities and very caring well trained staff. The location is very good where one can walk to Santiago park or the Plaza.
Destaca la amabilidad de todo el personal y la comida buenísima, las instalaciones están bien acondicionadas para una estancia agradable.
La ubicación es el único con que vi,
We really enjoyed our stay, everyone was very helpful and attentive. The owners take great pride on taking care of the property and the guests. The location was also great for exploring the historical district, drive to Mayan ruins, or visit cenotes. We really enjoyed our stay, and it was great supporting local business owners.
all of the little details are so well thought out and addressed at this wonderful boutique hotel. The staff are all amazingly helpful and courteous, and the food is absolutely wonderful. I can see why it is rated by guests in the top 3 in Merida.
