The home was beautiful and the location was perfect. Enough room for 8 to spread out and never be crowded. Loved the decor. Only negative was the hot water for showers was very poor. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

The house was beautiful and the location was good. There were many small problems. There was no instruction book telling people how things work and giving tips about local attractions and restaurants, shops etc. we had the doors open to the beach when the wind came up and the large painting on the wall almost fell down. If we had been given this information we would have taken precautions. there were no cleaning supplies. A house on the beach with the halls and foyer open to the rain definitely needs a mop and broom. The fact that there was not a single way to leave your valuables secure in the house was unacceptable. You couldn’t even lock the house when you went out. The stove and barbecue were very dirty and the stove had to be lit with a lighter. This is dangerous and we were not told this until we found the maintenance person and he showed us. The fact that there were sand whales in the sea should have been revealed. We were a group of senior citizens and were unable to get over them without fearing injury. We could not swim in the sea. When I rented the property the photos clearly showed five bedrooms. When we arrived there were only four. The dryer didn’t dry anything and there were not enough beach towels to have one per person. This place could be a wonderful rental but many details need fixing and we should have been told that one of the bedrooms was unavailable and that there were sand whales in the sea.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa del Navegante. The exterior is also signed as PONTE, which helps when arriving at night. Rogelio, who maintains the property, and his wife live nearby and were always available to assist us and answer questions throughout our stay. The house is spacious, beautifully designed, and easily accommodated our group of friends. Its open plan lets you see the sky from inside, creating an airy atmosphere. There are three bedrooms upstairs, each with a private bathroom and shower, and one separate bedroom with its own stairs—ideal for extra privacy. We appreciated that the bedrooms don't have TVs, as this encouraged us to spend more time outdoors and downstairs with friends. The property has several relaxing spots where you can unwind, enjoy a drink, or listen to the waves. The beach is right outside the backyard, making morning and evening walks along the shore a breeze. We recommend adding board games for guests, but fortunately, we brought our own. The rental has a washer and dryer, though the dryer is older and not very efficient. There are local laundry services that take about 48 hours, which we used. Grocery stores, restaurants, and street vendors are nearby, offering plenty of dining options. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning to this lovely property.

La Villa est magnifique, beaucoup plus belle en vrai qu’en photo ( même si elle était déjà très belle) la déco est très belle , la ville est placée en face de la mer , une vue exceptionnelle et inoubliable. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour. Très bonne communication avec le propriétaire qui a été très indulgent avec nous par rapport à la langue car nous ne parlions ni anglais , ni espagnol. Je vous recommande cette villa Elle vaut vraiment les 5 étoiles 🌟

Progreso Stay

The property was beautiful. With many common living areas. Roger, the on-site groundskeeper was extremely attentive and available and helped us with all our needs. The property is a little bit of a hike from Central Progresso. But we were able to arrange taxis through Roger to get to town.
