"It’s a holiday inn so you know what you’re getting. The room wasn’t so bad, nice bathrooms and not many options in that area for foreigners. My issue is they were doing construction and it wasn’t mentioned when I booked. One of the days they shut off the power while I was in the building. The first day they were repaying and messed up my brand new shoes. My wife and I had cement on our stuff. Was insanely dusty and dirty because of construction. "I stayed at the Park Plaza over the May Day weekend. The hotel is ideally located adjacent the Dengshi Kou subway station, on Line 5, making access to the international airport and both railway stations fairly quick. The National Art Museum, Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City are all within walking distance as are an array of shops, shopping malls and restaurants. The breakfast offering is large and varied starting at 06:30 for those wanting an early start. The rooms are comfortable, well appointed and come with complimentary toiletries, bath robes and slippers, as well as a pod coffee machine, kettle, fridge and safe. The hotel also has a free to use laundry room with complimentary detergent."
