"We always book a location with a private hot tub. Prior to booking, my wife reached out to the owner and they told us there was a private hot tub. When we got there, the hot tub was broken and hadn’t been working prior to our booking. The owner apologized and said the “wrong part was delivered”. We never would have booked the location if we knew that ahead of time. Because of the situation, we asked for a small 100 credit towards our stay, but we feel like we were blown off and ignored. Additionally, there was mold on the shower curtain with poor water pressure. We never leave negative reviews, but we feel like we were not taken care of and that we did not get our money’s worth from our 2-day stay."

"We have stayed at settlers Crossing twice before and enjoyed the property proper immensely if you love old homes 1800 mid early to 1800s you’ll love all of the homes that you may rent. The furnishings are a period appropriate and it’s a little rustic but if you love that look, it can be very relaxing. The homes are secluded in a 35 acre plot of land lots of trees, sheep walk freely in the area. I even saw a donkey and a number of Whitetail deer very enjoyable just minutes outside of Fredericksburg. Lots to do many wineries to visit. Can’t recommend it more highly particularly if you are a lover of old homes mid eighteen century furniture. We really enjoyed the wood burning fireplace."
