The view from our room was spectacular! It was spacious & had everything you need. The only downside for my partner & I was the bathroom sink. It was small and far from where you needed it to be other than that everything was great and the location was perfect!

With the same rates, I will choose to live in an apartment with kitchen facilities and washing machine to do my laundry, keep my luggage till 8pm after check out. This makes my money worth. It is within the free tram zone, 10 mins walk away from southern cross station to take the skybus to the international airport. Request for a quiet room as the trains going to southern cross station can be loud. Reception staff for our check out on 4 Oct has been lovely and helpful. Thank you ladies!

Being a quick trip to Melbourne for the grand final, we were very impressed with the ample toiletries provided in the bathroom, saving us having to pack any of those. The room was clean and inviting, the view from our room to the river was beautiful. Our room was warm, despite the very cold weather outside. We were very close to pubs for a few drinks, a fabulous indian restaurant nearby (Gaylords), the tram was out the front which took us into the heart of the city for a lovely laneway breakfast each morning, and gave us easy access to the walk along the river to the MCG. Staff at reception were welcoming and very helpful, both in person and to my emailed queries. We would definitely stay again and thoroughly recommend this The Canvas Hotel.
