"easy fast and early check in. excellent location "

"Bad experience at this hotel. Just learned that we were charged for a bottle of water and a Kitkat which I think they saw the empty bottle of water and wrap of the kitkat and didn't even bother to check whether it was from their mini bar - which were not! Got the Kitkat and bottle of water from Newcastle Airport and another one which has the Crown logo from our IFPA seminar at the hotel. Mind you, they asked us already during checkout if we consumed something from the mini and we said NO! Looks like the housekeeping person was either lazy or "not smart" by not checking in their fridge whether something was missing. Had an issue with the cleaning of the room as well. Apparently, you need to tell them that you wanted your room cleaned - really???? On our second day, after a full day of seminar we came back to an uncleaned room and we needed to call them to at least tidy it up a little. I thought we were staying at a 4* hotel not an AirBnb accommodation. Lastly, on our last night, after another full day of seminar my husband and I just decided to do room service for our dinner. Another mistake...!! It took more than 1 1/2 hours for the food to arrive. It would have been longer if we didn't call to follow up. Needless to say, we had our dinner at past 9 pm and the food was almost cold. Oh, and the taste of the Bolognese is not that nice/very disappointing! Summing it up, did I enjoy our stay? NO!! Would i stay again? NO!! Would I recommend it to friends and relatives? NO!! "

"Our room was gratefully upgraded so we had a view of the water and city. Rooms are clean and have everything you need. Water is provided free of charge but on tap from the bar on level 7 so you need an empty water bottle. We love staying here because of the location and the buffet breakfast has all our favourites - hot staples, bakery, fruit fruit & yoghurt. Staff are always friendly and will to assist. Only downside is parking. It is off location, 5 mins away uncovered and $30 a night (through the hotel, otherwise it is $44). Always a wonderful stay here. "
