In the historic town of Medina Sidonia there are various architectural monuments from different eras, starting from the Visigoths, through Roman, Moorish and Medieval times, which makes this town an interesting destination at any time of the year.
Some of the most visited monuments are the Roman fortress castle, the archways which serve as the entrance to the Medieval Medina, and the impressive church of Santa María Coronada.

Medina Sidonia also has a very well known gastronomic and environmental heritage.
Famous for its sweets and pastries, you can try el alfajor, el Amarguillo, las Tortas Pardas and different types of turron (nougat) amongst other delicacies.
