Lovely stay at the Autenthico Sajonia Aeropuerto, the hotel is a quaint ranch style property. It is a boutique style hotel with very personalized service. Nestled in the mountains this is a perfect place to disconnect from all the hustle and bustle of city, it feels literally like a sanctuary in the mountains. The property is beautiful, serine and the tranquility had me sleeping like a baby. I felt very relaxed and at peace here. If you don't mind traveling back and forth to the city this is a perfect place to unwind and relax. If you are planning excursions just know that this hotel is not close to the city center, it is about 35-40 mins from most excursion starting points. I had to arrange transportation everywhere, it is not within walkable distance to town.

The grounds are very well manicured and the architecture is beautiful. The pool area is gorgeous yet the water is not heated and more attention should be paid to keeping the pool water free of dead floating bugs and other debris. One particularly unfriendly staff member informed me that she could not turn on both the steam room and the Jacuzzi for my use because “it uses too much gas“. As a paying guest, I should be able to have full access to all of the amenities and not be reminded of the cost to run them. If you book a room here, also be aware that the nearest restaurant and or place to buy groceries is at least 2 miles away. Additionally, be prepared to be awakened by loud conversations held by the staff just outside your window in the early morning hours. I would not consider staying there again.

I stayed here because it was close to the Medellin airport and I had a 9 AM flight. Lots of airport hotels are kind of nasty but this was PARADISE. Lovely clean & quiet room, gorgeous green surroundings, fantastic breakfast which they made a few minutes earlier to accommodate me, and they called me a cab because I couldn't get a signal to order an Uber. Would definitely stay here again.
