「The front desk staff were not helpful when I asked to book a taxi, and all meals were expected to be paid by credit card (I had cash) but the hotel was clean and the dining room staff were attentive and friendly. I did get short changed 50 pesos when paying for coffee and should have checked my change at the time. Nice location on the beach.」

「The room did have a nice ocean view. However, the plastic chairs on the deck were hard and the couch was hard, and the bed was hard. Even the chairs around the pool were very hard. No padding. The towels for the pool are tattered and ripped. We found a large cockroach dead in our room one morning. The staff were nice. I did find they catered to the Mexican people. The pool activities were only spoken in Spanish. We would not stay there again.」

「Hotel is confortable. We stayed at El Cid Marina Beach and passed well.
One thing I coud not understand.. At the moment of check-in, we had been asked to change hotel (to El Cid Castillana from El Cid Marina Beach), if we would like to...I don't know the reason why (Overbooking?)... Of course, we have denied the offer and stayed in El Cid Marina beach.」

「The 2 positives for this property are its extremely kind and caring staff plus the cleanliness.
However, the property is 'tired' and needs remodeling; the noise level is constant from early morning salsa classes with groups
arriving from cruise ships to blasting beach bands all afternoon into early evening, there is no quiet, anywhere. The pool is very busy and there is no beach sitting. The food is just satisfactory and thankfully there are many very good restaurants within walking distance....
