「This is a gem of a quiet, accommodation spot with a nice sandy beach, small pool, a good restaurant and nice swimming in the ocean out front. The accommodation huts are perfect, the beds are decent and we felt as if we had our own private resort for some enjoyed R&R. It’s a short drive away from Placencia but well worth it for this experience. Kids loved the pool, paddle boards, hammocks and large beach area. I definitely recommend this place!! 」

Due to the Sargassum issue, the smell is horrible and making it hard to spend time on the beach or on the beautiful balcony. I would recommend staying at the lagoon side if you’re heading there. Other than that, I would definitely return. 」

「Good bargin for the price. It was nice, clean, fun atmosphere, pretty well organized. Not much staff on duty, but then you really don't need them much. My only problem was an old hard mattress in the private room.」

「Do not stay at this hotel. The resort is nice, but they double-charged for my room. I paid Expedia for the room, but the resort charged me again. Both the resort and Expedia are refusing to issue a refund. If you want to risk theft, this is the place to stay.」

「This is a very nice small boutique hotel near the beach. The only compliant I had was about communication with their staff. I had spoken twice with their staff to request help with scheduling a taxi to the airport and was told it was confirmed. However on the day of my departure there was none scheduled. The staff on duty didn't know anything about it. I had to wait for a taxi to be called and this could have caused me to miss my flight. 」

「For the money, Brisa Oceano is a great place to stay in Placencia. Very close to pretty much everything Placencia has to offer (including municipal pier and tours), very friendly, accomodating staff, good tap water, great water pressure, beach, free kayaks, and more. There were some issues with the room itself (doorstops in bad places, tight quarters in some areas) but overall, Brisa Oceano was great.」
