The Matsue Urban Hotel is a great place to stay while in Matsue. The breakfast is outstanding with a lot of variety including Japanese and American type of selections. The rooms are very clean and quiet. The location is very close to the train station which includes taxi and bus services. When I return to Matuse, I will stay here again.

Good economy hotel

The hotel would be the most economical one with good price and relatively OK conditions: small room, less controllable air conditioning, half-baked renovations with obviously tired bath unit.if you are OK with those, this must be a good choice. At least I was OK.

Matsue Urban Hotel was clean and conveniently located across the street from Matsue station. My room included a suitcase stand, one person mini-couch, and small table. I like having my suitcase off the ground and the couch was more comfortable than sitting on a desk chair. Housekeeping wasn't daily, but new towels were left on the door every day. It was a nice hotel and I would stay there again.

Pleasant hotel perfect for solo travelers

I loved this hotel, it was perfect for solo traveller. Lovely breakfast, and the breakfast room turned into communal workspace during the day. I stayed one night in an ordinary room and one night in a capsule (they call it "cubic room") which was a first for me. Very pleasant, nice lounge, nice "room wear", lockable shower rooms. One the whole, very pleased. And location is brilliant, two minutes from the station.

In October, the weather was nice and warm, but the heater came on when it was very warm, so I had to ask portable fan. I was told the air conditioning had been broken for a while, and it was worse in summer!!!
