"Accomodation was larger than it looks in the photos, which was a nice surprise. The beds were comfortable, however I would take earplugs as I struggled to sleep due to the cars going past outside. I had to go and buy some from the town centre. At night the cars whizz past really fast. The listing states that there is free parking but this isn’t true- you have to pay for it. "Starting here on my own as a single woman I felt safe. My room, bathroom and the communal facilities were really clean, although there were signs of wear in a couple of places, for example the bed base. I was in the original hotel, where the building itself could do with some attention in places (window ledges, etc) which I hope they attend to because it's a beautiful building in a wonderful location. It's easy to get to on the edge of Matlock Bath and has plenty of parking. The pool is *amazing*, and I would definitely go back just to use that again."
