Glad I happened upon this one!

I really enjoyed this hotel! The location was excellent and the rooms were fresh and clean. A nice little breakfast and cappuccino in the morning was perfect. Best of all, the front desk people were nothing but helpful and enjoyable! Will recommend this hotel to anyone visiting lovely Matera!

Palazzo della Fontana is a beautifully renovated hotel right at the start of the historic town, allowing you to reach it easily by car, and also use it as the perfect base for sightseeing. A very tasteful, spotlessly clean property with excellent staff and great amenities. Cherry on top… the rooftop bar where you can enjoy your cocktail with a great view of the old town.

Great location, clean room, friedly staff

Stayed here for only 1 night, wish it was longer. Super comfortable bed, with large bathroom. Right nwxt to the main puazza. Staff are super friendly. They also have a rooftop deck to enjoy drinks appies at the end of your day. Will definitely stay here in our next trip To Matera

Excellent, stylish hotel in city centre

An excellent, stylish hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Just one thing: we had a room at the back of the hotel on the first floor and were woken up very early each morning by the sounds of food sellers setting up their stalls in the street below, which continued for several hours.
