「The cottage looks nice in photos and they do keep it as clean as they can; however, it is very rundown. We were bothered by the strong smell of fabric softener (gives us migraines) and mildew. The beds were uncomfortable, the bathroom narrow and dark, and overall, we just had “the creeps” the whole time. So much so that we left early. Honestly, we expected more for the price. You can find better options in the area for what we paid.」

「This is a great location if you want to check out the lake superior Lakeshore, as well as Bayfield and Madeleine Island. Everything is very conveniently located you can walk to most places in Ashland right from the place. The apartment is pretty basic with kitchen items, but enough to do what you need to do. Very comfortable bad and very quiet.」

「My first impression was the shed next to the house looked like a meth lab. Not sure if it belonged to the property or not. The house is a work in progress. Not quite the image that the pictures online depicted. No screens on the windows except for one kitchen window..So we didn't get much ventilation. The refrigerator wasn't working well, I had to clean the vents on the back and reset the power to get it to work. I wouldn't stay there again.」

「This VRBO was the cleanest we've ever stayed in! The attention to detail was incredible! Such a well-appointed unit with lots of hangers, a fan, a box of tissues, and a luggage rack in each bedroom. The kitchen was stocked well. The owners were very accomodating. We would recommend this VRBO! A lovely loft unit in a lovely area!」
