Kein Haartockner keine Klima keine WC Artikel. Blättender Putz von den Wänden.

Dar Rania was fully booked when we arrived by an entire party. The host then relocated us to a different riad on the other side of Marrakech (which can be rented for less). The airport transfers and excursions are done by friends or family of the host, in their personal vehicles. The staff are very friendly. Breakfast varies each day, one day we received one boiled egg per person, the next day we had a baguette, and the following day yoghurt. The rooms were serviced each day however towels only changed once.

A little gem of a place and so glad I stumbled upon it. It's not all frills and it's not bare bones but for me (as in Goldilocks and three bears) it was just right.
Not my usual location in the Medina so was unfamiliar with the area. But, like anywhere in the Median finding the place is all part of the expereince. Thankfully for me a good detailed map of the Medina from years ago was the most helpfull thing to have (don't rely on google maps in the Medina!). Failing that detailed direction from key locations such as from 'Taoulat Ben Saleh' or 'Rue Azbezt'; or from 'Musee Boucharouite', 'Ben Youssef Mosque' or 'Mosquée Ben Saleh', plus knowledge that the rooftop satalite dishes and solar water heaters point in a south weterly direction and you should be able to find your way round the area evan in the dark.
Hope to return sometime next year on another trip through Morocco.
P.S. Message for the house keeper who did my laundry: Apologies for not making it back before you left. The unexpected torrential downpour had me taking refuge in a nearby cafe with a coffee and eventual Harirra until the storm had passed. I'll will make sure I gift you when I return. Much thanks.
Nice place, very clean and comfortable. Great location because placed in the middle of the medina.
I would really recommend this place, especially because of the Amazing host, who will help you no matter What and when!

This Riad is close to the main square and shops and restaurants so location wise it was ideal.
However, there were some negative points to be learn't and these are:
- Expedia advertised this as having toiletries but there were none when we arrived. I Whatsapp the owner (Takoua) twice and she did not respond to me at all! So bring your own toiletries apart from toilet rolls, they do not even provide soap to wash your hands.
- Be aware the rooms are basic so no TV or fridge, it is a Riad and not a hotel.
- There was mold in the ceiling of the room and the smell was present. Luckily the doors have gaps so air can flow in.
- The key to the front door take some getting used to, we had issues opening this.
- They do not have a 24 hour lobby
Our main staff was Fatiha and she was extremely helpful so no issues there; a BIG THANK to her!
