At last. A hotel that gets everything right.

Only used for crashing over 2 nights, did not eat there, just turned up and slept. Receptionist was very nice and charming; asked for extra coffee and got it with no problems. Bed was extremely comfortable, room had controllable heating that worked, hot water was very hot and didn't take long to get that way. Highly recommended.

Very tired, obviously cleaned,but black mould around bath, headboard plastic matetial worn right out on both sides where the head goes. Reception opens at 7am by the receptionist arriving at 7.15 with car music blaring and doors banging right outside room windows.

Memorable stay

Petra who was there every day of our stay was so warm and friendly - she chatted to us even though she was so busy. Really made a difference to our stay. I liked the character of the hotel too.

Great short stay.

Very comfortable rooms. Staff very helpful and friendly. Only things to comment on were lack of big light in main area. Have to rely on window and two small bed lights. Also one of the plug sockets had come away from the wall. Breakfast was a bit pricey so we ended up going 3 miles down the round for something more affordable.

Our toilet seat came off & couldn’t be fixed as nobody available to fix it. The staff were very apologetic & offered to change the room, but as we were leaving the next day it wasn’t worth it.

We stayed there as it was the nearest hotel to a family party we had been invited to. The room was ok the bathroom could do with the woodwork being repainted. Nice comfy bed & nice fluffy towels. The bar/restaurant was fairly busy & some menu items were not available both evenings. The Sunday roast ran out by late afternoon. The staff although friendly seemed to lack direction at times & did not seem to work as efficiently as they could. Plates & glasses were not cleared from tables when they were finished with. This was particularly noticeable at breakfast. Also at breakfast the buffet seemed to be very low on fruit & yogurt & guests had to ask frequently for it to be topped up. On Sunday morning there were not enough tables laid for guests & it took staff longer to re lay tables as they hadn’t cleared them when they could have done. We did enjoy our stay but felt it could have been better.
