"Room floor was sandy, pillows were so flat to be non existent. Check in staff was lifeless and still working 12 hours later so there's a clue. Restaurant is uninspired and caters to German tourist. Breakfast is blah, lots of variety but none of it really good. No explanation of beach club, pool was closed and one of the main reasons the hotel was chosen. Overall a tired property. "

"Lisa was quite personable. If you are looking for a luxury hotel, then book one of those. This is a marina villa, with a villa sort of charm. You are not gonna get a carmal macchiato delivered to you in bed. This was real Italian living and we loved it Thank you Lisa."

"Sadly there were other things that were wrong. I’ve stayed at the hotel before and felt the last time that some of the staff weren’t great. But there was one particular young guy on Reception who was really quite rude. Breakfast was cold with not much selection. I have to say the Staff serving breakfast were really helpful. We didn’t have a kettle on in the room, we had an issue with hot water, there was a children’s party which we weren’t notified of around the swimming pool which is quite noisy. It was a little disappointing, but I have to say that Fabio, the manager handled our complaint well. We just wish that everything has been perfect as this was an anniversary "

"I booked this apartment last minute after a terrible experience at another property nearby. This property couldnt have been better. Excellent communication from reception about checking in details and on arrival exceptional service and friendliness. The apartment was exactly as described and my only complaint is that I wasnt staying for longer"

"I wasn't sure what to expect having read some very mixed reviews. The one bedroom apartment was bigger than l thought it would be, the large queen bed comfortable, as was the sofa bed, with the kitchen adequately stocked. I had brought my own washing up liquid, dishcloth and soap, having read some reviews about the lack of such essentials. If l were being picky, I would say the availability of a toaster and a kettle (for all the tea drinkers!) and additional cups etc would improve many of the poor reviews. Alessandra at Reception was very courteous and helpful with answering any questions, but the Continental Resort website could definitely use some updating in terms of photos and information provided, e.g. on using the pool and what services are on offer at the beach, for prospective guests. The email address link provided on the site was incorrect (.ita instead of .it) which was needlessly frustrating. Overall, the pool area is clean with toilets and showers, and well-maintained. The beach area too is well-maintained, perhaps a little strict in curtailing which deckchairs can be used, especially at the end of season or the weather is bad and there are very few guests around, with low demand for beach services. Overall, though l was pleasantly surprised by Continental Resort and will definitely return! Tirrenia is a great location, not only for a beach getaway, but also in its vicinity to Pisa Airport and Train Station, as a base for further travel. "
