"We absolutely loved our stay at Kingfisher. It was perfectly located to explore the Big Bend Area and a great place to just relax and enjoy beautiful sunrises, starry nights and sunsets. This modern home was clean, very comfortable and “well equipped”. Check in and checkout was effortless. Highly recommended stay…we stayed 5 nights and was sad to leave."

"The hotel is a beautiful grand old lady. Very elegant. From the front entrance with the courtyard and its babbling fountain through the elegant lobby to the "parlor" with its charming cozy fireplace, we found it delightful. All the staff could not have been more helpful! They were pleasant and personable and went out of their way to be friendly...Alexis and Gretchen were lovely and made us feel right at home. We stayed one night in the James Dean room and one night in a patio room. Both were clean, comfortable and each had its own unique style. When we got rained out of trying to catch the Marfa lights due to a thunderstorm and came back early to the hotel, Gretchen lit the fireplace in the parlor and put on some romantic soft jazz for my husband and me to snuggle in and relax. My only complaint was that the restaurant and the lounge, both of which I was really looking forward to enjoying, were closed for remodeling. I only wish we could have had some advance warning from the hotel about that situation. Perhaps the hotel could have offered a discount or something. We're glad we stayed there but it was definitely a letdown."
