Good price, mediocre service, lame breakfast

The price for the room and the beds were the only good things about our stay. The staff does not speak English at all, not even reception. At the spa the girl there did not understand the words swimming pool or towel, quite bad and impossible to communicate, then afterwards they wanted to charge us for tue swimming cap without telling first about it. The breakfast was Ok, but no coffee at all! Only instant coffee and the coffee machine, Nescafé, which was broken. A real shame since Turkey has very good coffee.

Had a great stay at Mardiva. The rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable. The staff are very helpful. Buffet Turkish breakfast is included. The indoor sports centre is huge and the heated pool and sauna were spotlessly clean (they have women/men only days). There are minibusses that pass by the hotel every few minutes it seems and a couple go directly to the old city so very convenient even though the hotel is a little out of Mardin city. I would definitely go back and recommend it highly. Great value for the money.

My son chose this hotel because of swimming pool. However, we learned when we arrived at the hotel that days of the week is divided for men and women. That day was women's day and we learned we are not allowed to use the pool that day but next day. We would stay only one night. So, we had to cancel our reservation. The staff at the reception were helpful but it is not nice to mention that swimming days are divided between men and women on their website.

I needed to check out early, and front desk told me that as long as Expedia makes the change they would too and would also refund me. Then 2 days later, i get an email from Expedia saying that the hotel is not going to refund me. So I just thought that was not ok to lie to me and then go against their word when I left. Another thing is when I arrived my friend was going to help me with my stuff at 9 am and they would not allow him to come up. So he had to wait in the lobby until I was ready to leave the hotel and everytime I entered the hotel the staff wouldn’t even look up off their cell phones to see me walk in. So I don’t understand why they caused us such an inconvenience at check in.

De dame aan de balie was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. In de badkamer kwamen we kakkerlak tegen. Dit duidt aan dat minder schoon was. Voor de rest lag het hotel best wel ver van het stad dan 2,4 km. Dus misleidend.
