We really enjoyed all the renovations to this location— so happy that someone has finally invested in sprucing up accommodations in the UP. Every year we come through this area and have always had to put up with dumpy accommodations because there is nothing nice to pick from. So BRAVO to the Manistique Sands!

The room was newly renovated and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The location in general was very good and our view of lake Michigan was pretty cool. The pool looked nice although we didn't use it. We really wanted to use the hot tub but it was not operating. The staff was friendly and there was a nice little free continental breakfast in the lobby. The Roku TV was a bit complicated (for streaming) but we ended up figuring it out; I imagine that some folks wouldn't have been able to.

This hotel is currently under construction, so the property reflects that. The room, however, was PERFECT! So updated and clean. We requested extra pillows and they brought them right up. The view of Lake Michigan was pretty, despite the rain we had. They did have a grab-and-go breakfast option but we walked right next door to three seasons cafe for breakfast and it was amazing. We only needed accommodations for one night but the bed was perfect and location was ideal for our trip. It’s only about 15 minutes from Kitch-Iti-Kipi, which was on our itinerary for our anniversary trip!

The room was lovely. Comfortable bed, very roomy. I wish there was an overhead light over the dresser area, and that the existing OH lights were on 2 switches instead of 1, so one person could be doing something in the other half of the room while person #2 sleeps. The tiny desk light helps, but not enough. We appreciated the reduced use of plastic with the breakfast! Paper/cardboard cups and plates are great! Maybe someday you can add a compost bin for the compostable plates and bowls!

Very beautiful room. Clean, friendly staff. They are still renovating it, cant wait to see when it is fully done being renovated. Lake Michigan is literally across the street. Will definitely be staying again!

Our room was great. Only downside is the noise that comes from the major highway out front. That road starts to roar with trucks before 6 AM and doesn't stop till after 11 PM. Having said that we absolutely LOVED taking our chairs and cooler down to the shore of lake Michigan on the property's private beach. This chill time was one of the highlights of our 10 day trip. Would absolutely stay here again.

The property is in the middle of massive renovation. We had 2 rooms there. One room had a bathroom door which would not close. The other room you could see daylight under the exterior door because of a big air gap. The room itself was very nice other than that. There was nice art on the wall, a rain shower, clean. The pool had loose tiles lying on the bottom, the hot tub was drained and it was obvious there was construction going on in there. The carpets were extremely worn along the walkways. It will be a beautiful property when they get it done, just be aware that right now it is in need of many renovations yet. There was no mention of this in their ad. It made it seem like it was a brand new resort and fancy.

Loved our stay! Extremely helpful staff! Messages me with bike trails - Christine, places to visit - Megan, checking on how’s everything- Rebecca. Young gentleman in the morning was restocking breakfast for us, everything was fresh and perfect. Room was very clean, towels white and soft, bedding crispy clean, pillows on the harder side but I like it. If you travel with kids, there is a pool. Beach across the street, boardwalk with lighthouse. Christine recommended to visit Big Spring, I’m so glad we did, 20 minutes away, worth seeing! Pictured Rock only 50 minutes away but weather is 20 degrees cooler, so I’m glad we stayed here. The Restaurant next door, 3 Seasons , is absolutely perfect! Close by, fresh fish, delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner, reasonable prices and staff is super nice. Thank you, great place, highly recommend! Btw, I rarely write reviews.

Access to private beach was cool. Indoor pool was also very nice. Hot tub was out of order and I wasn’t able to use the Roku tv because it wasn’t fully set up. Overall a nice hotel
