Maurizio and his wife Valy were super helpful in days out recommendations very lovely couple. Valy does not speak English but tried to communicate the best she could. Maurizio has very good English. He was super knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast every day with homemade cakes and eggs from their chickens. Yum! The rooms are clean and plenty of storage and a fridge. The only thing I would say is if you like drinking tea if chilling at room there is no kettle and we forgot our travel one. But no drama as that is a me thing. Not the property. The property is also 5 mins down the road from the hot springs. Which we went to every morning. It is also perfectly located to go out and explore Tuscany.

This stay was truly incredible, Maurizio was extremely welcoming and helpful, perfect local guide. Location was super convenient to visit the neighbouring villages ( 5 mins from Montemerano and cascate del mulino) Definitely recommend this stay without hesitation. Step out of reality and into Tuscany.

Perfect little spot in Southern Tuscany

Poggio Bertino is a little hotel perfectly equidistant between the thermal baths of Saturnia and the medieval village of Montemerano. Spacious rooms, a sun terrace and a wide selection of local products for breakfast made this a perfect stay on my tour of southern Tuscany. Maurizio is a charming host. Also

We loved our stay here. Maurizio and his wife are so friendly and hospitable. Amazing hosts-from helping make sure our car tires were properly inflated, making dinner reservations for us at the Italian restaurant next door (which was very good) to making breakfast for us the next morning. Strongly recommend!

Dejlig familie drevet land idyl.

Fantastisk venlig og imødekommende modtagelse. Værten havde gode sprogkundskaber. Familien delte gode lokale tips til restauranter osv. Bestemt et gensyn værd.

It’s basic but convenient place to stay when visiting the thermal springs. The beds are small and hard. They have 3 tv stations and no information on the WiFi password before they closed the office and disappeared at 8 pm. Nice breakfast served in the morning and beautiful garden area.
